I need an AU where lp!Felix steals the keys to lp!Athy’s prison cell and he helps her escape. Athy & Lily run away together, far, far away, as far as their feet can take them. They pretend to be a family somewhere on the countryside. Maybe they work as maids in the mansion of a kind old nobleman, who is completely obvlious to all the drama happening in the capital (he is blind, so he can’t recognize Athy from the wanted posters).
Whenever Claude sends Felix away on a mission to find Athy, he just drops by Lily’s house, where they have an amazing afternoon and drink Lippe tea, while Felix rants about Claude’s latest antics. The people in the village already mistake him for Lily’s lover, so it isn’t really surprising when he proposes to her only a few years later. Their story finally comes to an end when they hold a small wedding ceremony under the shadow of a cherry tree with the bride’s daughter as their only witness. And it might be just a trick of the light but for a moment the pastor thinks Athy’s blue eyes sparkle like jewels with joy.
They might not have much money and have to work hard to earn their living, and even if they share not a single drop of blood, there is no doubt that they are for sure the happiest family in the entire empire.
