I Believe...

I believe that most people are good. I believe that hard work should be rewarded. I believe in education but not indoctrination. I believe that the government should keep the playing field level, but stay out of the game. I believe in a prepared military, as there will always be people who want to hurt you. I believe in God. I believe in your right not to believe in God. I believe in the Constitution. I believe in equal opportunity but not in equal outcome-that’s up to the individual. I believe in helping your fellow man. I believe an attitude of entitlement is more harmful than poison. I believe no one should be a career politician. I believe it’s easier to yell than to listen, and that’s a problem. I believe many who preach tolerance the loudest are often the first to withhold it the minute a view disagrees with their own. Same goes double for compassion. I believe in live and let live. (Not to be confused with “Live and Let Die,” one of my favorite Bond films. I do also believe in that.) I believe no business should be “too big to fail.” I believe there are no small jobs, only small minds. I believe healthcare should be at a fair market value. I believe HMO’s are the work of the devil. I believe in the United States of America. I believe in freedom. I believe every life has value. And I believe in the power of the individual. Oh, and I believe I will have another margarita. But then...you probably already knew that last one. xoxo

Had a bit of free time (insert gasp here), and finally got to watch a few episodes of #DearWhitePeople on @netflix. This show is amazingly written and casted just right. Everyone's toes are stepped on, and truthfully ... I'd put it right next to @nbcthisisus as one of my favorite newest shows out right now. Issues are addressed and realities exposed that you never imagine your #fellowman going through.
