100 Days of Productivity | Day 95

Applying for academic jobs and I finally figured it out. I am the Jason of graduate school.
My fellowship interviewing schedule is set. All flights, shuttles, and hotels are booked. My suit will be ready for pick-up from the tailor next week. Now all that’s left is to survive the shit storm that will be the next seven weeks.
Finishing a draft and realizing it’s nothing but word salad
At first you’re more than a little annoyed.
And you consider starting editing.
But you realize your brain is complete mush and maybe if you weren’t a slacker academic you’d buckle down and keep working but it’s Friday evening so it’s time to gtfo.
WashU and Hopkins. Holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiit, y’all.
I just want to bury my head in the sand
OH also the military GME boards all met last week but the match results won’t come out for a few more weeks, and by virtue of the faculty who I know and I’m closer to, I have a bunch of random info about the Army, and the residency in general, but absolutely no information that’s actually useful for me
I just realized I’m going to have to wake up at the ass crack of dawn tomorrow in order to make my flight. Ugh.
