Here's the Espeon Tamagotchi badge which actually the first one I started for some reason. I think I was watching Dollightful's Espeon repaint video when making the base pattern so that might of been an influence. But I love the big ears with the ear tufts and sequin for the forehead jewel. She definitely came out cuter than the charm I made last year and I think marks my improvement ya know. I actually kinda wanna redo the charm cos oof her face is not my best work. Admittedly I was going for a completely different look as to what I do now and she was the first charm I ever had but I can definitely do so much better. "No way! You're not sewing buttons into my eyes!" So who finds Coraline scary? I see so many comments about how it scares them but whilst I absolutely adore the film I never found it scary. Unsettling yes but never truly scary. And I read an interesting point that adults I find the film scary cos they see a child in danger but children find it more of an adventure and thus aren't as scared. Like it's just an obstacle to beat. Which I though was an interesting take. But Laika did such a brilliant job on all the details and the colours and god I love the film so much. And the book is so good as well. I remember reading it after seeing the film and oof I loved it. I've been meaning to do something Coraline related for ages and I think I might make a charm or her in that iconic yellow swamper. But I wanted something quicker to make so I did this little badge and went with the button eyes cos it's spooky season and eye horror makes me uncomfortable. Also it was pretty lucky I had a little dragonfly charm to use for her hair clip. I had to clip the loop off the top and repaint it but hey it looks really good and pulls everything together. Look I'm not saying I wish Utatane Piko didn't die at V2 but I wish Utatane Piko didn't die at V2. I still like his voice bank but I understand it has issues galore and was difficult to use. I admit I'm biased to cos I like Piko (the actual person) as a singer as well and he was one of the first utaites I fell in love with. Also Piko is one of the first Vocaloid releases I distinctly remember when I first got into Vocaloid as a whole and I remember following all the announcements as I could trying to find more info on him.
