Oh I’m SO here for Fem Dunk shenanigans. She’d have them all so intrigued and grovelling and then combine with if she’s disguised as a man at the tourney. And the big reveal isn’t until she’s injured. I’d imagine lyonel and Raymun would try and scalp Aerion for fighting a lady. Not to mention Maekar and Baelor both going “I know what will fix this, I’ll propose to her”. Que Dunk running away with Egg

YES!!!! The only people aware of Fem!Dunk’s gender until the reveal would be Arlan, Rafe, Lyonel, Raymun, and Egg. Arlan technically raised Dunk and Rafe knew her before puberty so ofc they do.

Now if this is teen mom! Dunk then Lyonel figured it out by himself. Raymun probably would’ve accidentally walked in on her changing or breastfeeding. They both would be more protective and closer than canon because of this I believe.

Egg is complicated. Maybe he saw blood and thought Dunk was injured or maybe Dunk admits to it when she bonds with him. He becomes way more protective of his new mom either way.

The rest of the Targaryens? Oh they are in over their heads. Proposals, jealousy, etc. Mostly it’s Baelor vs Maekar on who she should be married to (or who finds her first).

Egg actually gets the idea to run away in Dunk’s skull and makes it clear that she ain’t leaving him. So they head off to Dorne for a vacation (very original I know lol). Dunk takes this time to raise her babies and embrace her femininity and not hide it as much. I also really really really want to see big curvy Dunk in pretty clothing. They stay for about a year maybe before heading to visit Lyonel and that’s where the drama happens.

Yes he is indeed. He also feels flattered that Fem! Dunk trusts him with her secret. One of the reasons that Dunk would visit him after Dorne is he doesn’t treat her much differently than he did before he knew her gender. They care about each other very openly and that makes certain dragons jealous….

And yes he has rammed into Aerion with his antlers “accidentally” after a few drinks. Was it a coincidence that this happened after Aerion found out Dunk’s gender? Maybe.

Princess Dunk! Au : Part 2

Maekar saw Baelor’s nose in Dunk- Duncaera- Dunk. He saw his smile in her. Hells he heard his laugh in her. His niece was supposed to be a princess raised to be elegant not a hedge knight. But he supposed that even when Duncaera was little she was never elegant.

She had never laughed quietly and was always tripping over her dresses due to her running around. She scrunched up her nose giggling whenever he or Baelor kissed her cheek because their beards would tickle her. She always wanted to hear stories about brave good knights and Daeron would let her be the brave knight with him the fair princess in their games. Aerion was always following her around wanting to play while Valarr kept a protective eye on them. The children all wanted to be around Duncaera while she didn’t even notice. His precious niece was just happy to be around family.

Jena and Dyanna found the whole thing cute but Baelor didn’t as much. Aerion had stated he was going to marry Duncaera when he grew up and she would never leave him which caused the girl to run off crying to her father. Baelor had to reassure Duncaera that she wouldn’t be forced to be a Fair Lady who couldn’t be a knight. He had stated that his little princess was going to be a Maiden Knight who visited her beloved father every season. Maekar knew without a doubt that Baelor would ensure a happy match for his daughter or make her a happy widow who wielded swords for fun.

Maekar had actually been discussing a possible betrothal between Daeron and Duncaera when the princess had burst into her father’s solar. Needless to say that Maekar had a tougher time bringing it up again. Daeron would be a good match if the fondness between the two of them showed. Daeron was gentle with his younger cousin but didn’t infantize her while Duncaera subtly pushed the boy into making smart choices. The perfect future Lord and Lady of Summerhall. It made Maekar even happier that the marriage would connect his and Baelor’s bloodlines together. Now if only Baelor were to agree…

Question about the Dunk princess au that might be answered in future posts. After the trial because of injuries sustained the family realizes she is a woman. Is Baelor and family assuming she is his daughter? Dunk literally fought the T07 and now they are like actually she is our family now lol.

So in this au Baelor feels connected to Dunk when he first meets “Dunk”. In my headcanons Targaryens are connected through blood/blood magic. So even a dragon seed could feel a slight pull. So Baelor just thinks that Dunk is a dragon seed but still feels connected.

“He” reminds him of Jena and Matarys which leads him to think of Duncaera. Duncaera who wanted to grow up and be a brave kind knight just like the one in front of him. I kinda wanna stretch out Ashford so I might put the puppet show/TO7 near the end of the tournament so Dunk can bond with Baelor. Dunk does little things throughout meeting the rest of Targaryens during the tournament that tip them off but Baelor and Maekar and even Aerion really did notice similarities which pushed the T07. What confirmed Baelor’s suspicions was Dunk screamed “I’m the Brave Maiden Knight and no Dragon can drag me down!” While beating the shit out of Aerion. This is what Baelor had told her/called her when she was a child. For Maekar she just said Fuck in High Valyrian and for Aerion it was all of above.

Fem Dunk au and the bastards of the seven kingdom. Because she keeps getting knocked up by her harem of rich lords and princes. “Oh what this silver haired baby??? No he’s not Maekars he’s just not used his ye olde tone on his hair!” Pay no attention to Prince Maekar giving him gifts and making eyes at the giant knight. “This curly haired copy paste of Lyonel? No he’s not a Waters, yes that is Lyonel trying to bribe all the kids to convince the knight to stay at stormsend what about it?” And this ones eyes aren’t the same as Baelors it’s just a trick of the light, yes the baby girl is wearing a hand of the king mini pin and is Valaars best friend but she’s defs not a bastard”. And don’t forget it’s totally normal for a baby to have free cider for life from the new Fossaways.

So this could definitely be an au of fem! Dunk! She loves her babies and they are hers.

First off we have the twins, Rolan and Camylle who have loud laughter and dark hair and blue eyes.

Then Bae (might change his name) who has brown hair with a few silver strands. He also inherited his mama’s blue eyes. He is also the bulkiest of Dunk’s children.

Then tiny Maella is dark haired with one blue eye and one brown. Very good memory and loves hearing about history.

And the youngest, Cedrick! The only child to inherit Dunk’s red hair. Also has a fondness for snacking on apples.

All children are very tall except for Maella who makes up for it with her speed.

It would be hilarious for all these lovers of Dunk not being allowed to have any outward claim on the dunklings because these are her babies regardless who sired them. But! They are allowed to love the children! Also they would all have a favorite Dunkling but they wouldn’t be the ones they sired I think.

Maekar raises Dunk! Au but with a twist: Part 1

If Dunk were to be a girl in this au I feel like it could either get funnier or darker. Following the plot of the original au, Maekar takes Dunk on as a squire but never realized she was a woman in the first timeline. Rafe is even more protective over Dunk due to this and seriously debates killing Maekar when he first came upon them.

I feel like due to malnutrition that Fem!Dunk could be a tiny bit smaller before puberty but after getting regular meals she will go up in height. When she gets her first period (delayed due to malnutrition and stress) it is literally hell for everyone especially for her. She is hungrier than normal though she isn’t starving, she is nauseous, she’s too hot, and her stomach hurts. Dyanna takes care of everything ofc and sends all males to the other side of the castle away from her. Aerion pitches a fit, Daeron is worried, Valarr is trying to calm the boys down, and Baelor is trying to calm Maekar down. Dunk gets a soothing tea to help with cramps and some dark chocolate to comfort her while Dyanna dotes on her. Rafe stands guard the door to make sure that nobody comes in while Dyanna gives Dunk the talk about menstrual cycles and babies. Both Rafe and Dunk are kinda horrified for different reasons (Rafe refuses to grow something and push it out of her body while Dunk really doesn’t want to worry about blood stains not coming out of clothes).

Maekar is eventually let in and has to force Dunk to stay in bed for the first few days because she is worried about training. Maekar is not going to let his sweet girl/his squire swing a damn sword while bleeding like a stuck pig and since he is already here why don’t they have lunch together and she can show him her embroidery she’s learning how to do from Dyanna.

Baelor visits soon and reads to her from the history books about famous female warriors like Visenya, Rhaenys, and even Nymeria Martell. Valarr brings her flowers and joins in listening to the stories.

Daeron and Aerion finally get to see Dunk and catch up on lessons. Aerion makes it clear that she will not leave him again. Daeron makes sure that Dunk is comfortable and has water nearby.

I gotta know how the Targ's are going to explain to everyone that the hedge knight they just got in a very public fight with is actual a missing princess!

Let alone how they're gonna explain this to the rest of the family! Aerion had to be sent to the wall because that is only place he will be safe from Jena's wrath!

So either the Targaryens are going to spin some story about the 7 blessing them with Dunk or they’re not going to let it be known that Ser Duncan the Tall is actually Princess Duncaera. They could even spin it that Ser Duncan found the princess. They’re trying to think of the publicity.

The rest of the family though? Dyanna raises hell on Jena’s behalf (because Summerhall is closer) and then Jena raises hell on everyone including Baelor because her husband AND her long lost daughter were in a trial of 7???? Aerion tries to be a kiss ass for a bit because he does actually care for Dunk and doesn’t want to leave her.
