Seriously, for a second, she'd think you've forgotten. Because who on earth would ask the same dark fairy who literally cursed a princess in her cradle for a baby?! She knew you were reckless, but this is a whole new level, even for her.

She'd definitely say no. She's not cut out to be a mother, she shouldn't even be cut out to have a partner, so forget it... No, don't use those stupid puppy-dog eyes, they won't work on her. She's above that.

Queen Grimhilde:

"I don't need an heir yet."

Look, she's being merciful, okay? You know what’s going on with Snow White, you know the deep hatred she has for the girl because of her increasingly obvious beauty. Do you really want to risk any of your babies going through the same thing as the princess?

If you really want a child, you should try to protect Snow, I'm just saying. It's not like you'll be able to do much for her, but it's better than risking a blood relative, right?

Mary Sanderson:

"Winny doesn't like children, silly, just their souls"

Despite saying it with a small giggle, you can see a hint of panic in her eyes, and it's not hard to put two and two together. They're witches, they steal children's souls to stay young and powerful—you're truly insane if you want to bring an infant into that.

Besides, Mary knows her sisters. No matter how much loyalty exists between them, she knows that, if a sacrifice were necessary, neither Winifred nor Sarah would hesitate to take the life of someone who's just entered the world. It's easier to part with a soul they barely know than with the soul of someone they've lived with for over 500 years. So no, please don't do that to her.

Claudine Frollo:

"Do things in order, darling. First, we have a date at the altar."

...What did you expect? She's a woman of faith, regardless of your gender or beliefs. In her house, HER rules are followed, and if you want a baby (which I don't know who in their right mind would want to give this judge a child, poor thing), you're going to have to do things in order: marriage first, baby later.

That said, deep down she's actually excited about your proposal, even though she's keeping her composure on the outside. You've just given her the final thread she needed to complete her web around you.

Mother Gothel:

"We already have one, shut up."

There's Rapunzel, don't ask for more. Yeah, sure, she just wants the power locked in the girl's hair, not the girl herself, but honestly, you don't really think being her own flesh and blood would change anything, do you? Please, you know her better than that.

She's the center of her own life, and maternal instincts are very, very dormant, if not dead inside her. The only reason she puts up with the little princess is because of the flower's power; a child of yours won't have that, so it's not worth the effort...Don't make that face, darling! You have her, you don't need anything else.

She'll probably think it's a joke at first. Look, you know who she is and what she did, and she's the first person to admit that leaving her in charge of a baby isn't the smartest decision, especially since she can sometimes be just as needy and spoiled as the baby itself.

But deep down, she's scared. Scared because she's only just learning to accept that you truly want to be in her life despite everything, that you love her, you're not afraid of her. Having a child feels like too big a step for her right now...but that doesn't mean it's a definite no, just a "let's wait a little longer." (Although you should start getting used to the idea that you'll have two people attached to you all the time when the time comes, and that you'll have to make a Herculean effort to help her overcome her fear of hurting her baby, okay?)

Hades:

"Yes."

No questions asked, no bargaining, no teasing. A definite, solid yes, and maybe a little too quickly. Let's be honest, he's been waiting for you to say this since the moment you agreed to date him.

She really wouldn't understand. Sure, she understands the carnal aspect of a relationship, but considering she's the mistress of all evil and is still struggling with romance itself, she wouldn't see the point in dressing up for something intimate. You could have just offered your soul or blood for one of her spells, you know? At least that’s more useful.

Queen Grimhilde:

"I like red better, change."

Let's be honest, she's probably the one who ordered you to wear that. She's usually too busy with the kingdom's affairs and her own little secret spells, or more often than not, in that room with her magic mirror. But overall, she’s still THE queen, she can have whatever she wants, and you’re hers for a reason, so you'd better obey and give her a proper show.

Mary Sanderson:

"Oh, you got Winny's note? Great! You're ready for the sacrifice then."

...They're witches, what did you expect? One of the most powerful aspects of femininity is sensuality and sexual energy, and you were beautiful, so of course they were going to use your beauty for some ritual. If it makes you feel any better, Mary loved it, and you felt her eyes on you the whole time the spell was cast. But yeah, think better next time, dear.

You…you know what you’re doing, right? Please tell me you do. Because you won't last long in that.

Raising a kidnapped princess is difficult, boring, and monotonous. Gothel isn't going to miss the chance to have some fun with you, especially since intimate moments have been reduced due to the forced motherhood you were both subjected to. I hope Rapunzel is a heavy sleeper, because otherwise, more traumas to add to the poor girl's already long list.

Iracebeth of Crims:

"...Is that white I see?"

You'll have to deal with a full on fit if she sees even ONE single spot of white in what you’re wearing, so you better check that thoroughly before you even call her in to see it.

But if we’re honest, it wouldn't bother her, not really, but it's the only refuge she can cling to. Anger is her familiar territory; it's been her shield for years. Desire and feeling loved were strange, new. So don't take it personally. She liked the gift; she just doesn't know how to react yet. Be patient with her.

Hades: 

"Yes, yes, YESSSSSSSS"

You’ve seen how much he worships you, and yet you decided to tempt him? Alright, you've probably just made him the happiest god, so that’s good for both mortals and gods...and the sounds of what comes next, your moans and his groans, will probably be heard all the way to Mount Olympus. Lucky you.

Also, Pain and Panic probably had to take Cerberus out for a walk, let’s not traumatize the poor puppy, alright?

Maleficent:

"...I need my arms to cast my spells, so if you plan to stay here, at least get behind me and don't get in the way."

If anyone had told the mistress of all evil that she would not only be allowing a mortal into her realm, but also indulging said mortal's affectionate needs, Maleficent would have cursed them without mercy on the spot. And yet, that was her current reality.

She didn't know, and she was tired of wondering, what kind of magic you possessed that called to her (literally, this wasn't just a figure of speech; she could truly feel it vibrating within you. A part of her suspected it was some remnant of a magical lineage in your family that you weren't even aware of), but the fact remained that you had a permanent place on the forbidden mountain. And that meant tolerating your clinginess. 

At first, she hated it, because she wasn't used to physical contact, much less voluntary contact, but as time passed and your presence became necessary to her (though she wouldn't admit it), she learned to deal with it, usually letting you cling to her while she continued with her spells and potions, carrying you like a persistent koala on her back. Lucifer wished those stupid good fairies would never find out, or she would become the laughingstock of magical creatures. The great fairy of darkness, allowing a mortal to get so close.

Queen Grimhilde:

"Let go of that pillow now. Your queen will give you attention now, don't make me regret it."

Are you sure this woman is the right person to even try to be clingy with? I mean, even if her dealings with the occult and alchemy are secret, the truth is the whole kingdom is aware of her cold nature and the queen's zero tolerance for nonsense. In fact, the fact that she even accepted you as her consort remained a mystery to most, given how opposite you were.

Anyway, you learned to survive in the castle and Grimhilde's coldness, simply because you knew when not to cross her boundaries. You knew that displays of affection were strictly forbidden in public; you couldn't even do it in front of the magic mirror. But sometimes, your need for affection was so great that you contented yourself with hugging one of her pillows that smelled like her. Grimhilde hated it. She hated many things, like the fact that deep down she was becoming dangerously attached to you, and she hated that you had to seek affection from a silly object. You should be strong enough to endure the loneliness until she decides to indulge you. You'll have to work on it; for now, the queen would be doomed if she let a stupid pillow take her rightful place in your arms. (Yes, she’s jealous of a pillow)

Mary Sanderson:

"Since you're here, we could—" "Could you two concentrate for two minutes, please?! I swear I'm two seconds away from using you both as belladonna fertilizer!"

Mary loves, like, really loves your clingy nature. It's just adorable how much you need her, and how even the smallest cuddle from her makes your eyes light up. She finds it funny and strangely rewarding to have someone who needs and enjoys her presence as much as you do, so she takes the time to give you cuddles whenever she can.

The one who isn't quite so patient about it is Winnifred. Don't get it wrong, the older sister is secretly happy that her favorite sister (don't tell Sarah) has finally found someone worthy who treats her like the magical entity she is. But for Satan’s sake! You two could tone down how often you were hugging each other in the middle of the room, you know? Some of them were working on spells!

Claudine Frollo:

"Greed is a sin, my dear...but I'm being merciful, just this once."

A woman like her is definitely not the type to hug and pamper. Not only because of her reputation and position as a judge in Paris, but because her twisted, deeply Catholic devotion simply wouldn't allow that level of vulnerability, not even with someone she swears she loves.

However, her obsession with you (because "love" isn't quite right in this case) is sometimes stronger than her faith, so when you're alone, if she senses you might be having doubts about your place in her home and by her side, she indulges you a little. Deep down, though, it feels forced, almost mechanical, but she'd do anything to keep you in the gilded cage she's slowly building around you.

Mother Gothel:

"That's enough, I have things to do. Don't pout, my dear, you'll wrinkle your skin and I'm not sharing the flower."

You knew it. You knew it from the moment you decided to be her partner. This woman is the center of her own world, and nothing and no one was going to change that. Gothel herself warned you when you first started courting her: if you were hoping to "change her with love" you were wasting your time. And yet, you'd agreed to be with her, so tough luck.

Now, she's not really against your clingy nature; in fact, a part of her actually finds it endearing, especially when you act like a puppy in need of its owner, which strokes her ego. But after Rapunzel entered your lives, the demand for attention simply skyrocketed, and since she only cared about the flower's power, she never bothered to work on her tolerance for needy creatures clinging to her. So your cuddling days began to dwindle, although sometimes, if you give her nice compliments, she might grant you a cuddling afternoon.

Iracebeth of Crims:

"I don't recall giving you permission for this...And who told you that you could let go?!"

Iracebeth is starved for affection, that much is clear. It's not something she even tries to hide anymore. Whether it's through bloody demands or a midnight craving for pies, you know perfectly well that deep down it's just an attempt to reassure herself that, no matter how spoiled she may be, you still choose her. So, your being not only clingy but also brave enough to reach out and hug her unprompted is actually a kind of band-aid for her withered heart.

But she's still the Red Queen, don't forget that, so she has to act from time to time as if your constant presence annoys her, for the sake of maintaining what little remains of her reputation. Of course, the act will crumble all too quickly the second you actually leave her side. Forget the throne, give her those cuddles, you adorable peasant!

Hades:

"Hey, hey, babe, I'm working here"

Hades loves feeling important and, for once, chosen over the rest of Olympus, especially Zeus. So he loves it when you're clingy with him; it makes him feel powerful in a way, that a mortal would choose the God of the Underworld over other gods you could have, especially because of your beauty, renowned even among the immortals.

However, as much as his ego enjoys your presence, he's still a busy god. And although he secretly wants to give Zeus the middle finger, the truth is that for the moment, he's keeping a low profile after the Titans fiasco, so he has to send you away for a moment to work...until his next big plan, of course.

Maleficent:

"No"

Simple and straightforward. She wouldn't even let you beg or argue your case. She said no, and it's no. Period.

She has plenty of reasons not to want you interfering with her plans, starting with the simple fact that you're not a magical creature, so you wouldn't be any help anyway, and she doesn't have time to babysit if you start messing around with things you don't understand. Honestly, she doesn't even know why she's letting you hang around, but that's something she'll figure out later. For now, as long as you don't die and you don't get in the way, that's enough.

Queen Grimhilde:

"The kingdom or the alchemy?"

You knew perfectly well what kind of person she was from the moment you got involved with her, so you'd better think carefully about your answer. If you're offering help with the rule, it's best to keep quiet. She knows what she's doing and doesn't care about outside opinions on her reign; there are enough prisoners in the dungeon to prove it. Now, if you're referring to alchemy/magic, she'd be a bit more open. After all, she doesn't have the patience to teach you, but it's always good to have someone willing to do the dirty work for her, gathering ingredients.

Look, this woman is far from naive, and her partners need to be up to the task. She already has the throne, so you're by her side because she wanted it that way and because she gave you a chance to prove your worth. Don't screw it up.

Mary Sanderson:

"Don't touch anything unless you want to be the next ingredient."

Mary can be silly and funny with you at times, usually letting you explore magic with her and her sisters and explaining the basics. But you know there's one rule: Don't mess up Winifred's work.

You knew from the start that the eldest sister was the center of both Mary's and Sarah's lives, and no matter how many lovers either of them had, that wasn't going to change. They were a small but strong and tight-knit coven, and they didn't need anyone but each other. You were a little whim for the middle sister, cherished and protected, sure, but replaceable if Winnie so desired. So, really, the answer to your offer (and your life/stay in general) depended entirely on Winifred, not Mary.

Claudine Frollo:

"My what?"

She would be so confused because, honestly, the danger in this woman stemmed from the fact that she didn't actually believe she was doing anything wrong at all. On the contrary, everything she did came from a “selfless” desire to heal the world of the impurities and atrocious acts that the weak and banal masses committed day after day.

If anything, you should be asking her how to improve, how to be worthy and distance yourself from such shadows that plagued the world. Don't ever suggest she's evil again when she's only trying to protect you from hellfire. (Seriously, don't do it again; you don't want to end up like the last soul she let get that close to her and didn’t follow her rules).

Mother Gothel:

"Well, it was about time, darling"

She wouldn't even bother to deny or correct your petty accusation against her morals. Who cared? She'd simply foist the baby she'd stolen a few weeks ago onto you, ready and desperate to pass the responsibility on to someone else.

Listen, she never cared about being a mother, okay? She just wanted to reclaim the power of the flower that rightfully belonged to her, the one those stupid guards stole to save the queen. It was still her flower, even if it cried now and needed diaper changes. Thank goodness she had you. Now, don’t expect her to help you at all with Rapunzel, you’re the nanny now, she’s only there for the magic.

Iracebeth of Crims:

"Then prove it"

She's not someone who trusts anyone so easily anymore, not after Mirana, Time, Stayne, "Um," and the rest of her treacherous court. She'd had enough stabs in the back, and she was fully aware of everything she'd done against Wonderland, to accept just anyone who sweet-talked her right away and promised not to hold a grudge.

And yet, loneliness weighed heavily on her too, which is why she'd give you a chance to prove that you truly came to her with sincere intentions of serving her and being by her side...Please, don't let her down. Deep down, she was just a child—a spoiled one, sure, but a child who wanted to be loved, even if just once.

Hades:

"Good, because I was going to send you on a mission anyway, babe"

He's the god of the underworld, and you knew he didn't like to leave his realm much (no, he wasn't embarrassed of the other gods seeing him after what happened with the Titans, and you'd better not imply that), and anyway, you were much more capable and reliable than Pain and Panic, so he'd give you a list of things he needed, which were more like errands than anything else.

He'd say it was because he didn't yet have all the details of his next plan to conquer Olympus, but deep down, he didn't want you to stray too far. You were the only person who had given him their soul without asking for anything in return, just the right to stay in his company, and even if he didn't say it, it meant a lot to the god. He wasn't going to make the same mistake he did with Meg; no hero was going to drag you out of his realm.

Their reaction to you being an animal whisperer (Disney Villains)

Maleficent:

"If I see one more feather that isn't Diablo's, I'm going to kick you off the mountain."

She's aware that she's growing weak-willed when it comes to you. At this point, she doesn't even try to fight it anymore. The dark fairy isn't stupid; she's a powerful and ancient being, older than most living humans. She knows what trap she's fallen into, but she refuses to name it.

Now, the fact that you've managed to break through the barriers of her dark heart doesn't mean she'll let you do as you please in her domain! Yes, you have more freedom and no risk of being cursed like the rest of her minions, but damn it! You're ruining her reputation by luring all those animals to her dark domain. Only her precious raven is supposed to be allowed to fly freely because it's her henchman of Satan, and—where did you get a phoenix?!

Queen Grimhilde:

"I just need a little paw or some blood...don't be such a crybaby, you have other animals."

Let's be honest, she'll want your animals as ingredients, not guests. You should be thanking her for letting you stay in her castle, by her side, with all those noisy, dirty animals always around you. The least you could do was give her some ingredients for her alchemy!

She'll stick to her guns until you and Snow White team up and give her those puppy-dog eyes. That tactic didn't affect her when it was just her stepdaughter, but for some reason, everything changed with you; you were softening her heart even for the princess, and that was dangerous. Oh well, keep your stupid animals... for now.

Mary Sanderson:

"I can ask them to leave—" "No, no, I've never seen so many crows together in one area. The villagers are scared to death!"

Have I ever told you that you're unofficially considered part of the Sanderson coven? Well, you are now! Not only because you were Mary's partner, or because you didn't mind helping them with the boring tasks, or because you were good at keeping appearances and were the sisters' spy on the village.

But also because you were a source of chaos they never got tired of! Sure sometimes they used your animals as ingredients (witchcraft had its sacrifice and you had accepted it), but it was much funnier to see the town's mayor wet his pants because of having so many crows on his roof. You had your own kind of magic, and they all loved it.

Claudine Frollo:

"Madam, the pigeons are invading the cathedral." "It's God's will, we mustn't interfere."

To be honest, at first it bothered her; she couldn't take two steps without a squirrel darting between her feet or a pigeon landing on the window. She tried to get you to stop, but it seemed like even you didn't know how; the animals just came up to you, whether you liked it or not.

Then, people started whispering about witchcraft, and she knew she had to act. Whether she liked the animals or not, she couldn't risk you ending up burned at the stake. So she did what she did best: manipulate the narrative. She managed to convince people that you were so pure you were blessed, and that's why God's creatures paid homage to you. Ironically, it bordered on cult-like, of which she was the high priestess. It's funny how everything can change with the right words.

Mother Gothel:

"...I'm not even going to ask where you got a basilisk—Rapunzel, don't go near that thing!"

She thought her life couldn't get any more chaotic, and then you go and attract all sorts of creatures! Honestly, she only wanted a magic flower to keep her immortal and young, was that too much to ask for?! Sure, your stupid animals were benign most of the time (except for, you know, the bailisk), and had never caused any trouble, but honestly, use your head, will you?! You two had a baby, for heaven's sake! 

No, it wasn't that she was worried about the child, it was that she couldn't risk losing her flower again...at least that's what she kept telling herself, but hey, she was the one holding the princess protectively against her chest, so (don’t mention it tho, she’d be mad at you for a week).

Iracebeth of Crims:

"Is that a dragon egg?! No! Even better, a Jabberwocky egg!"

She gets excited. Like, really, really excited. You’ve never seen her that happy since…ever. Not even when Mirana gave her back her castle as a peace offering. But it makes sense to you, because you’re the one who has gotten to know her, the real her, the girl that hid behind the red queen’s mask to protect herself from the world. 

You know Iracebeth really did love animals and creatures, but the bullying she suffered since childhood because of the head injury had turned what was once love into something more twisted and controlling. Maybe you can change that and give her a second chance with that gift of yours. You can teach the animals to trust her once again, and she promises she won't use this new Jabber-baby-wocky to terrorize anyone!

Hades:

"Another one? Babe, you know I adore you, but you're making Cerbie feel displaced."

In reality, he's the one who feels replaced with so many animals in your arms. Sure he thought it was awesome how much life you could bring to his realm, and has bragged about it to Zeus once or twice, but it was starting to become a problem, especially when he tries to cuddle with you, only to be pecked by a peacock (he swears Hera is laughing in some corner of Olympus every time that happens).

Now, just because he’s a drama king, doesn’t necessarily mean he’s lying. Cerberus does feel jealous of the animals, because let’s be honest, it’s unfair he can’t cuddle in your lap due to his size, and you’re rubbing it in his puppy face! Even Pain and Panic feel a little ignored, so you'd better start learning to balance your gift.

Their reaction to you being married to an abusive partner (Disney Villains)

Maleficent:

“Those who dare to dim a light, don’t deserve it at all, you fool”

You think cursing a newborn because her parents insulted her, or transforming into a dragon to stop a prince being helped by three good fairies, was bad and dramatic? Wait until you see the hell she had prepared for that idiot who dared lay a single finger on you.

She was a magical being; she knew the true laws of existence, not the stupid, made-up rules mortals invented with those cheap rings. No, she knew how to truly bind souls. You had already been claimed by her, regardless of the trinket on your finger, and a dragon doesn't forgive offenses. Especially not one who cared little for mercy or morality.

Queen Grimhilde:

“We haven’t had a public execution in a while…it’s time to remind people why no one touches what’s mine”

To be honest, Grimhilde was already looking for an excuse to send your spouse to the gallows. From the moment she learned why you disappeared so suddenly during your visits (excuse you? You were with the queen! Nothing should have been more important!), her heart filled with envy and resentment at the thought that you weren't free...yet. That idiot had to go.

And now, she had the perfect pretext to get rid of the scum. People gathered almost immediately, curious to see who the poor devil was who had angered the queen enough to resume public executions, while you were sent to Snow White's chambers, because neither you nor the princess were allowed to witness the execution. But the smug smile with which she appeared hours later told you it hadn't been a light spectacle. Well, at least now you were truly hers alone.

Mary Sanderson:

“Well, we always need fresh hearts and fingers…sisters!”

You belonged to Mary. Period. You belonged to Mary. It was something the three sisters knew, something you yourself should have sensed deep in your mortal soul. You belonged to Mary. And therefore, you belonged to the coven, even if only marginally.

Knowing you were married didn't change the fact that you belonged to Mary; knowing you were abused by your spouse...yes, it changed everything. Not the part where you belonged to them, but the part where they were refraining from harming the village for your own safety. But the village had failed to protect you, so there was no longer any reason to show mercy. No one touches what belongs to a witch without suffering the consequences.

Claudine Frollo:

“May god have mercy on their soul…because I won’t”

Of course, she knew you were married from the start. Her duty as a judge in Paris was to know everything about everyone, or at least the most important things, and you were considered, though not officially, her ward, so you were the person she knew the most about.

What she didn't foresee was the horrific bruise you showed up with one night, seeking refuge in her home. She took you in without hesitation, made sure your wound was treated, comforted you, and the news spread far too quickly. By the next morning, the bastard who had hurt you was burning at the stake, accused and sentenced for dangerous witchcraft. No trial, no chance to defend themselves. No god to show mercy for their soul.

Mother Gothel:

“This flower is only mine to touch”

There was a reason the tower entrance was sealed and Rapunzel was forbidden from leaving, beyond keeping the princess hidden. It was because you wanted to spare her trauma, and Gothel didn't want to have to explain the existence of a pile of rotten earth on the mountainside surrounding the tower.

When that idiot came looking for you, making the mistake of yelling at you and grabbing you in front of Gothel, accusing you of being cheating on them with her (a lie at the time, but definitely part of her plan, even if she didn't tell you), she lost her temper. The blow was sudden and lethal, and before you could process what had happened, she had ripped the ring off your finger and led you inside the tower. You never mentioned the pit she dug herself the next day, the first time you'd ever seen her exert herself so much.

Iracebeth of Crims:

“Mirana, I’ll take that one free pass you granted me…Off with their heads”

When Mirana decided to give her sister a "free pass" to carry out one more execution should she truly be insulted, she had envisioned it more as a way to bridge the gap between the old ways and Wonderland's new rules, hoping that knowing she had one more ticket would help Iracebeth contain the pain and anger she sometimes still felt despite her attempts to improve.

What she hadn't expected was that the pass would actually be used...or that she, and the rest of Wonderland's inhabitants, would in fact decide NOT to count it, leaving this particular execution as a favor to the kingdom rather than a concession to the former monarch. By now, you were well-known in the land, adored and loved by all, especially because you were the key to keeping Iracebeth on "the right side." For anyone to dare to hurt you, your spouse no less, someone supposed to love, cherish and protect you, was an offense everyone agreed that only the Red Queen could take care of.

Hades:

“Pain, Panic…no mistakes this time”

Maleficent:

"If I see even a glimmer of magic in the air, I'll turn you into a statue for a month!"

You were going to give her gray hairs, she was sure, and by Lucifer she questioned every day why she had let you live for so long, even more so, near her. Let's be honest, when she first met you, you can be sure she was actually after your power. She's not one to do anything without a plan, and she's probably already devised ways to drain your power and use it for her own benefit, regardless of what happens to you.

That said, if you somehow managed to survive, or if you concealed your powers long enough to gain her trust, then you'll be forbidden from using them from that moment on. Maleficent will be furious at having been deceived for so long, and she'll likely punish you and abandon you for a while. But in the end, if she sees you as a valuable ally, she'll allow you to return to the forbidden mountain. However, you'll be under close watch, and you can't use your powers without her permission. She won't let you ruin her plans by being foolish with them.

Queen Grimhilde:

"You know that your whole being belongs to me, you are at my service"

I pray to God your powers have nothing to do with granting beauty or anything like that, because if they do, you can probably kiss your freedom and your life goodbye.

The queen wouldn't care if your powers were about power or money or something like that; she was already powerful and rich enough, so you'd be free to do with them as you pleased, and she wouldn't bother reminding you of the consequences of using them. After all, you're smart enough to deal with the damage; she wasn't going to babysit you.

But, if, as I said, your powers could even minimally help maintain her beauty intact, or even ensure that no one could ever dream of being as beautiful as her, then you would cease to be her partner, or even human in her eyes. From that moment on, you were her elixir, and she wouldn't care about the consequences that using your power might have on you or anyone else, as long as she got what she wanted.

Mary Sanderson:

"Winnie said not to use it unless it's an emergency"

Contrary to what many believe, Mary isn't foolish or lacking in magic herself. Sure, she wasn't as powerful and calculating as Winifred, but she wasn't as absent-minded and scattered as Sarah either. She was second in command at the coven precisely because, although she lacked her older sister's initiative, she was the one who could easily follow her train of thought.

That's why she knew what a power like yours meant, without Winifred telling her (though she appreciated the confirmation, as always). She knew that even though you were powerful, you weren't actually as useful to the coven as one might expect, because a talented witch must always gain more than she sacrifices in her spells. Although that didn't mean the Sandersons didn't appreciate you, you remained with them after so many years for a reason, beyond your relationship with Mary. Therefore, and by order of Winifred, you could not use your powers unless it was an emergency, and Mary always made sure that you followed that rule.

Claudine Frollo:

"May God have mercy on your soul, little doe, and reward my kindness and generosity in taking you in and returning you to the path of righteousness"

As long as you live with her, you have no powers, do you hear? You can't even speak of them, you can't use them, ever. Not even if it's something tender and beautiful like creating a flower for her; she'll burn it immediately. You must understand that you were marked by the devil, and that however harmless it might seem, that wasn't going to change its diabolical origin.

The fact that your powers come with a counterbalancing effect is, in the judge's mind, proof enough of the divine punishment your soul was paying. But your beauty was also proof that God hadn't completely abandoned you, that there was still salvation for you, as long as you obeyed what she told you, even if it meant denying a part of yourself. It didn't matter anyway, you had her, and that was more than enough...for your own good you'd better understand that.

Mother Gothel:

"Well, you still have hands, so it's your turn to change the little devil's diaper"

She doesn't care, really. She's no stranger to magic, and therefore, she's more than aware that all power comes at a price, some higher than others. But she's also a woman who thinks of herself before others, and being her partner doesn't change that, so don't expect her to pamper you or spoil you for using your powers. If you're with her, it's because you're smart enough to use your own magic and face the consequences.

She also wouldn't care if your powers were focused on beauty or rejuvenation; you already have Rapunzel, anyway. Although, rest assured, she would make a big deal about you putting her through the ordeal of kidnapping the princess when you could have simply let her abuse use your gift. That's why, as punishment, you take care of the baby while she reaps the miracle of her flower. Now, if you're still with her when Rapunzel escapes with Flynn Ryder, well...let's just say the tower will have a new captive; she wasn't going to waste time looking for the little princess when she had you as a backup plan, and to hell with the counterbalancing effects.

Iracebeth of Crims:

"You are forbidden to use that again, in fact, you are forbidden even to mention it! By the Queen’s order!"

In a distant time, in a life that now seemed so long ago, she wouldn't have hesitated to use your powers, regardless of the consequences, as long as they guaranteed her continued rule over Wonderland...But she no longer ruled, not truly. The castle was crumbling, her crown had lost its weight, loneliness gnawed at her, and you were all she had left.

Yes, Mirana had done a decent job of calming the waters and managing to get at least a small portion of Wonderland's inhabitants to forgive her, enough to allow her to reign over a tiny part of the chessboard. But Iracebeth was far from foolish. Spoiled and dramatic, sure, but she had never been foolish. She knew the suspicion her presence still aroused, which is why she was always alone. Her appointed court only visited when there were matters to attend to or when Mirana sent some foolish reform that she swore required her approval (Racie knew she didn't; her sister was simply trying to make her feel better in her own way, without understanding that to the Red Queen, it felt more like a mockery).

You were the only creature who had willingly stayed with her in the castle. She had never been able to understand why, and at first, she doubted your sincerity, but over time, you became the only refuge she had left, and she wasn't going to lose you for a foolish power whose consequences you couldn't control. So she would use whatever power she had left, however small, to make sure you never used it again.

Hades:

"I love it when you defy the cosmos, babe"

Hades loves your powers, consequences and all. Mainly because he'd managed to strike a deal with the Fates to ensure you wouldn't die—at least not from your powers. You were still mortal, sure (he was working on that, okay? Give him time), but at least you could use your powers without worry.

And if the consequences weren't for you, but hurt others, well, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, was it? After all, you were dating the God of the Underworld, death and desolation were the everyday scenery, so don't feel bad about adding a few numbers to the tally at the entrance. As long as you were happy, Hades would gladly accept the souls of the world; they were a small price to pay.
