so turns out J names are actually mostly pronounced with a Y in Bulgaria so most likely K would have Been Yosef/Yosif and americanized to joseph when his family emigrated. i chose yulianna Bc it’s a pretty popular name (like yosef) so i think it’s a fairly good feminized name for K (although it doesn’t have the Biblical implications of joseph which wouldn’t matter except for ronan’s catholic ass)

so yeah, yulianna kavinsky. doesn’t make sense to me to gender swap her parents so i do think her father is still the dead one and her mother is still the “present But absent” type which i think changes the dynamic when it’s a daughter + mother rather than son + mother yk like the whole K drugging his mom to keep her quiet has a definite undertone of gendered violence that when you make K a girl Becomes less scary and more sad i think

i think in an all girls setting, K would Be less outwardly antagonistic to rowan, like in front of her friends and stuff. i imagine much of their rivalry in public is like. heated glances over shoulders, a well placed But not direct cutting remark, stuff that has like plausible deniability. in private is where it gets real nasty.

i think she would have super Blonde Bleached hair as part of her rebellious vibe, i’m thinking very sky Ferreira in her tumblr era type of vibes yk, grown out roots kinda messy very cool. her natural hair is probably like a medium Brown, def not as dark as rowan’s.

i do think she still Be fairly well known as a drug dealer, and ordinarily with a gender swap i’d Be concerned like oh would she Be safe in something like that as a young woman But the thing is she dreams all the drugs !!! like there’s no middle man there really so i do think she would still do it and Be fairly safe

i think it’s really fun to imagine the dream pack Being like the plastics lol like Julie is Regina and skov, swan, jiang, and prokopensky are her little minions.

i think she is probably one of the only girls at aglionby that’s out as gay (i think she’s a lesbian But is probably out as Bisexual Because it’s Better for her Bad girl Brand) and as much as rowan hates her she really admires the courage she perceives K to have (which K finds hilarious and a little annoying since she doesn’t see herself as Brave at all)

i honestly think the whole “it was never gonna Be you and me” rovinsky scene is so perfect i don’t see it changing in the fem au like…. kavinsky thinking rowan doesn’t want her Because she’s in love with Gansey and Rowan is like no dude ur just the worst
