i think about joseph kavinsky a lot.

the way he was neglected, the way he was so lonely. this poor boy only wanted to be loved and was denied this love from the very beginning. (sure, it doesn’t justify what he’s done but let me be sappy about my dearest son)

he seeked ronan mostly because he truly believed that even if he was worthy of being loved, it would be someone who would understand the way he existed. and who else it might’ve been if not ronan lynch, dreamer of dreams, fighter of men? and he longed for it, no matter how hard he tried to keep his cool tough guy, “live is sex, drugs and cars” persona. no matter how hard he tried to bury it deep under substances and act like he didn’t give a single fuck about anything that involved feelings and depth, he still did. he yearned for love and understanding and once he realized that the only person who could be able to understand and love him even in the slightest didn’t, he just couldn’t bare it anymore. he lost all his hopes, he gave up and killed himself because even someone as alike to him just couldn’t understand and love him anyway. no matter how flawed it was.

i think about joseph kavinsky and the way he really only wanted something real for once a lot.
