OK y’all I feel kind of crazy because I remember there was this tmnt animations of the turtles, being like girls and raph , and Leah were trying to be like cheerleaders or something

(I don’t know if Mikey and Donnie were in it, but I remembering the scene of wrath and Leo)

They like had to show off their moves and stuff to get in and they eventually did I think

That anyways, I’ve been trying to look for this animation because on TikTok I saw a picture in the comments if someone’s like video of the girl wrath and I was like “oh my God, I remember watching this!”

Now I don’t remember who created it or made it-

They had the same design, but the video I’m thinking of was made by a different person

But the character designs are very similar

Does anyone know about this or am I just going crazy as hell ?

TMNT Fem Name ideas

So I l love when transfem turtles keep their original names, but like i also feel like there are some good names for them that are more “traditionally feminine”.

🧡 I think a good one for Michelangelo would be “Lyta” not only is it a name that literally means ‘Joyful’ it is also the name of a figure from Greek Mythology ‘Hippolyta’ who was a warrior queen of the Amazons so that’s super epic. I also think Mikey would like it because it’s associated with a superhero and all cause Wonder Woman. But i also like the name “Thalia” who is the greek muse of Comedy. I think the two names could be combined into like “Thalyta” or something. “Lytalia” maybe? Sounds cuter but Thalyta is more even- still sounds like Thalia and still has Lyta in it.

💙 “Lavinia” is not only the name of another woman in greek mythology who was a queen- but also the name of a renaissance artist. The name means ‘Mother of Rome’ and carries a heavy symbolism of elegance and strength so I think it is perfect for Leonardo who is very graceful and motherly. Another great name for Leo could also be “Joan” after Joan of arc. Joan fought for god and yet was burned to death due to the sin of heresy. Ironic and tragic, it’s perfect for Leonardo and their relationship with leadership and Master Splinter. Endangering yourself in the name of honor for the one who has created you, raised you, and given you everything. It’s even better for 2012 Leo who experiences psychosis and always is seeing Splinter and receiving his advice, Much like how Joan likely was experiencing Religious Psychosis when she believed angels from God were instructing her to do all she did.

💜 The name “Sophia” means ‘wisdom’ and it is also the name of an astronomer, chemist, and medical expert of the renaissance period, Sophia Brahe. She and her brother worked together to make observations about space and her research was crucial to figuring out planetary positioning and discovery of SuperNova’s. Such an intelligent name is perfect for Donatello. “Cleopatra” could also be a potential name. Cleopatra is an extremely well known Pharaoh of the Hellenistic period and her name means ‘Glory to her Father’. Cleopatra was a leader and an extremely well educated woman. She was wonderful at politics obviously, but was also skilled in philosophy, mathematics, astronomy, and debate. She was extremely cunning and intelligent and charismatic and known to be pretty ruthless as well… unlike Donnie. A combo like “Sophiapatra” sounds so silly but It gives me much joy- don’t think Don would use it though. Darn.

❤️ “Artemisia” is the name of a renaissance artist who painted the more violent stories of the bible, and is closely tied to the name “Artemis” a Greek goddess. The name Artemis and Artemisia mean the same thing- which is a few things. One meaning of the name is ‘safe/unharmed’, which is great since Raphael is the protector of the family and a little ironic since they are the tank who definitely gets harmed all the time and leaves no enemy unharmed either. It can also mean ‘Butcher’ which fits cause Raphie will slice and dice a ninja without hesitation. All in all the name represents Strength which is perfect for Raphael and keeps the whole renaissance name scheme thing going on. But there’s also a goddess of pure rage, destruction, and and rabies called “lyssa” who hangs around the goddess of insanity Maniae so it would be funny as hell for Raph to name herself after a crazy chick with rabies and rage problems. Sadly, She’s probably too prideful to ever do anything so humorous at her own expense.

So female TMNT. It’s a thing I’ve been working on for awhile. I’m thinking of turning this into an ask blog. 

Starting from the top you have Tang Shen, Laviana, Marietta, Artemisia, and Catherine.  April and Casey are teenagers in this world.

Name: Tang Shen ( I’m just assuming Tang Shen is her full first name ) Male counterpart: Yoshi Hamato. Nicknames: Mom ( by all four turtles ), Mommy ( used by Cathy when she wants something  ), Mama ( used by all four when they were younger ), Sensei or Master Splinter, and Mama Splinter ( used by Casey Jones ) Story: Tang Shen lost her husband and daughter in a fire that was set by Oroku Saki. She manged to escape with her life.  Over the next couple of years, Tang She honed martial art skills. She gotten a job at a local drug store, rented a small apartment, and even adopted a small rat for a pet. One night after a long shift at her job, Tang Shen came across five men. These men had a truck full or barrels or green chemicals and a tank that held with four baby turtles. Tang Shen came to the conclusion that the turtles were going to be experimented on, she quite recklessly charged in to recuse them. In the fight, her, the turtles, and the five men were all covered by the green ooze. Deliriousness, she left triumphantly with the turtles tucked into her purse.  The next morning however, she found that she had mutated into a large humanoid rat. The turtles were mutated into humanoids as well. After the initial shock and panic, Tang Shen made the choice to take in the four turtles and live in the sewers.  She named them after female Renaissance painters, to honor her late husband’s love for that time period. Laviana, the leader. Marietta, the genius. Artemisia, the bruiser. Catherine, the comedian.    Tang Shen never got the names of these men or who they were working for at the time, but years later, she encountered them again as Old Hobs, Leatherhead, Bebop, Rocksteady, and Slash and they all were working for Baxter Stockman. Leatherhead and Slash have become allies. 

Name: Lavinia Hamato Male counterpart: Leonardo Hamato. Named after Lavinia Fontana Age: 17  Nicknames: Lani, Splinter Jr, Princess ( a childhood insult from her red clad sister has turn into a nickname everyone uses. She hates it with a passion ) Story: Lani for years was the presumed oldest of the turtle sisters, but after a horrible confrontation with the Foot and being betrayed by Karai-who Lani thought was a potential friend-Lani thought her family dead. In attempt to avenge her mother and sisters, she lead a one turtle assault at the foot headquarters. In her attack, Lani was struck by Baxter Stockman by a portal ray gun that sent her to a different dimension. There she met and befriended a young rabbit ronin, Usagi Miyamoto. He had experienced a similar loss and dishonor. She spent a year living with Usagi. After starting a tentative relationship with Usagi, her family figured out what world she was sent to, and found then  means to travel to this world. For them, it was only two weeks after the incident.  Lani was already protective before, but after a year mourning her family, she is overzealous and distant. Lani’s behavior worsens when any of sisters step out of line; Maria and Artemis see it as almost abusive. The only person who seems to be able to get close to her is Usagi Miyamoto.  ( Usagi had made the choice of leaving his world to join Lani’s family. He serves as a bodyguard to Tang Shen. He hopes this life will restore the honor he lost when his lord fell in battle ) Name: Marietta Hamato  Male counterpart: Donatello Hamato Named after Marietta Robusti Age: 16  Nicknames: Maria, and Marare acceptable. God help you call her Mary. Too many years of being called ‘Bloody’ Mary had made her hate that name. The Cute One, by a Purple Dragon member. Story: Maria is the resident genus of the family. She’s constantly inventing and learning. When she was older enough to read and use tools, it was her skills that kept the appliances Tang Shen had to steal running longer than they should. She fixed up an old busted van at ten. At twelve, she figured out how to bring in a strong internet and cable single in their lair. At thirteen, she taught herself first aid. By the time she was fifteen, Maria had scavenged enough to have a fully equipped lab. Because of the multiple skills and considerable calm personality, Maria was deemed second in command. However, Maria would consider herself a leader and struggles to get her younger sisters to listen to her. Her and Lani had their differences prior to Lani being sent away to different dimension, but after Lani’s return, the differences have turn into arguments from Lani’s mistreatment of their younger sisters.  Maria spends a a lot amount of time with April. Maria considers April her best friend and a welcome distraction from her sisters, and April prefers Maria’s company over the other turtles. April had once convinced Maria to dress up in a disguise and the two of them went to the mall. Lani wasn’t pleased. Maria hs a interesting rivalry with a Purple Dragon member. She doesn’t know his name or what he looks like, but she knows him by his batons that also double as tasers. When they run across the PDs, somehow they usually end up fighting.  Maria will go to Leatherhead when she is stumped on her latest invention. 

( April considers all four of the sisters her friends. but she does have a hard time dealing with the fact Artemis is closer to Casey than she is. And her friendship with Lani is strained considerably after they found Lani in Usagi’s world. And Cathy has her own friends. )

Name: Artemisia Hamato.  Male counterpart: Raphael Hamato Named after Artemisia Gentileschi Age: 16  Nicknames: Artemis, and sometimes Arty. Casey will affectionately call her babe to get her wild up, not knowing that it actually embarrasses her to no end.  Story: Artemis is a constantly getting into trouble, and she loves her bad girl status. With that said, she’s a big ol’ softy. Being second to last on what she thinks is a totem pole, Artemis considers her job as an older sister to Cathy the most important thing in the world. You so much as look at Cathy wrong, Artemis will kill you. It’s that simple to her. Artemis also fights with Lani, but not nearly as much as Maria does. However, Artemis and Lani’s fights turn violent fairly quickly, and usually one of them will storm out of the lair in a fit of anger. Artemis is in denial of her crush towards Casey Jones. Everyone knows she has one, but she refuses to accept it. It’s for the best that Casey is bit of an idiot. When she isn’t paling around Casey, she’s running with the human-turn-turtle mutant, Slash. He’s not the best influence on her. Slash fights in underground matches against other mutants and a few humans. Artemis has been known on occasion to also participate in these underground fights.  In these underground fights, Artemis had a run in with Karai. This was after the massive confrontation with the Foot. Karai confesses to Artemis that she was in fact Miwa Hamato, and Karai is torn between her biological mother and her adoptive father. Artemis doesn’t know if she can trust Karai, considering Karai back stabbed Lani, but she doesn’t report this information to her mother or sisters. 

Name: Catherine Hamato. Male counterpart: Michelangelo Hamato Named after Catherine of Bologna Age: 16 Nicknames: Cathy, Cat, Turtle Titan, Knucklehead ( by her sisters )  Story: Cathy is a fun loving girl who can’t decide between what’s better: superhero comics or magic girl mangas. Where as Maria has her lab, Cathy has her kitchen. She loves to experiment with foods, just as much as she loves to eat them. Despite her slight chubbiness, Cathy is the fastest of her sisters. She had years of experience after years of practice from fleeing from her sisters. Cathy has picked up her mother’s love for animals, and had adopted a small mutt. She named the black and white dog Klunk. While Artemis is more likely to leave the lair without telling anyone, Cathy will also take adventures topside to go work with her superhero pals under the guise, Turtle Titan. She works mainly with the mysterious crime fighter, Nobody. Cathy swears up and down that she and him will marry someday. 

When Cathy isn’t running around with Nobody, Silver Sentry, or the Justice Force, Cathy is hanging out with Angel, a normal girl the turtles have befriended early on in their career. She also considers the time travelling sorceress, Rennet her best friend. Cathy always considered her relationship with all her sisters solid, but she and Artemis are much closer, being the two social butterflies. With that said, she’s the one who’s most hurt by Lani distant, and aggressive attitude.
