Okay so like… controversial opinion, but I’ve been thinking about it a lot recently while looking at comments on tmnt’s official accounts on various platforms and similar posts-

I feel like Rise! fans can honestly be a little entitled? Stuff like “just bring back rise already, it’s not that hard 😒” irk me because it IS that hard. If we want the same quality of animation that was in the show and movie they would have to hire Flying Bark Productions again and they are NOT cheap, plus are currently working on a bunch of projects. Plus trying to cast all the same VA’s as before (keep in mind these VA’s probably have schedules that stretch years into the future and probably couldn’t fit a new Rise! season in their schedules). As well as hiring all of the same writers again? Would we want them to get the same production team???

Idk, I adore Rise!, honestly I am obsessed with it… but I don’t think we’re getting a third season. It just doesn’t feel realistic. I’m all for continuing to advocate for a third season, but I wish that we could all do so in a more positive and respectful way instead of blindly commenting and posting, “BRING BACK RISE!!!!!” and shitting on new content.

I get that a lot of these comments may be coming from younger fans, but overall I feel like these kinds of comments make us look rude and reflect badly on the fandom as a whole. I want a third season too, but I’m still very grateful that we got what we did. Rise! is such a special show and has so many dedicated and creative fans, and I’m so happy I’ve gotten to be a part of the fandom because it’s genuinely made my life happier. Rise! was my first iteration and got me into tmnt and man, the tmnt hyperfixation has been one of the best things that’s happened to me in the past few years. Essentially, what I’m saying is that even if we don’t get a third season, we still have this community, and that’s fucking cool!!

Also, if you haven’t given Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a chance, please do! It’s second season is coming out soon and in supporting the show you’re both supporting tmnt and animated shows as a whole (which really need to be advocated for 🥺). Its first season wasn’t the best, but it’s still getting its footing and has hella potential!

Raphael’s Sai.

So Raph is a trained ninja but he literally holds his sai backwards like an idiot.

holding the Sai properly helps block attacks especially from bladed weapons- and turns the blunt end of the sai into a powerful weapon that can kill and incapacitate enemies. The way Raph holds his sai is incorrect- and more like the way you would hold an offensive weapon. the sai is a defensive weapon (that can still easily hurt people but it is good for defense.)

the way Raph holds his weapon is more likely to injure Raphael himself, and less likely to actually hurt whoever he’s targeting.

Master splinter probs taught him the proper way to hold them, but raph was like “no thats fucking stupid” and held the sai outwards instead

TMNT FANDOM What would be considered 1987 Leonardo’s “thrown out a window” moment (if he even has something like that!!)

Fans of TMNT 2012 really need to take advantage of how much that iteration was a call back machine. And not just for the 1987 version.

Nah, TMNT as a whole was just bringing back so many characters from previous versions and doing their own thing but 2012 was on another level.

Turning their characters like Rahzar and Tokka into something new. Hattori Tatsu being a blind samurai. Alopex. Just a lot of characters just being added for the reference instead of the story- ...I'm getting ahead of myself.

Now, the callbacks were not flawless but the real thing is that fans can do what 2012 did and find old characters from other versions, OC-fy them and add them into whatever fancontent you want.

People wanted 2003's Angel to have a 2012 adaptation so fanart was made instead. 2012!Irma was done dirty in canon by not being a real character so people made fanart and fics about her being real.

Anyone with the goal of seeing their favourite characters in a version of their show can make it happen.

And we can go as crazy as we want. After all, it's a franchise about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Mikey paints his shell

Painting turtle shells is really bad for turtle due to their porous shells. When their shells are painted, Turtles absorb all the toxins from the paint, are unable to properly sunbathe and regulate body temperature, and it can cause respiratory issues and the feeling of suffocating. All of that plus it can stunt a turtle’s growth.

So i have a little head cannon that Michelangelo paints his own shell because it looks super cool- and then he’s always so sick afterwards and has no idea why he’s constantly getting worse and sicker and sicker after painting the sistine chapel on himself. (That’s also why he’s short lmao) But i feel like even if he did find out painting his shell was bad for him he wouldn’t stop. He gets attention finally because he’s halfway dead and he’s like “its called going out in style” but I’m pretty sure it counts as a form of SH, Mikey.

infact im 100 percent sure he wouldn’t give a damn if painting his shell killed him, i bet he would love that because he has no self preservation instinct.

Michelangelo’s lack of self preservation is seriously concerning. Like during his second fight with Kluh he just lets himself get beat the fuck up until Kluh threatens to kill Michelangelo’s family. Like he basically goes limp and let’s Kluh break him into itty bitty pieces. He knew Kluh wanted to kill him, and he was seriously just gonna let that happen while his entire family watched, and that’s pretty sick and twisted. Like it’s great he cares about his family or whatever but he was stupid, masochistic, and sewerslidal during that fight or something. Maybe he was like “yeah, everyone’s right, they’ve always been right. It was luck that i won, I’m not a real champion. I’m nothing. Guess i’ll die.”

And nobody in his family is like “hey dude why did you take like half an hour and wait for all of your bones to be broken until you actually started to fight back?”

Like cmon you guys what the shell. Wow this got really off topic, huh?
