lowkey thinking about writing solus as somebody who made herself into a transtector so she actually will take on a variety of frames from across what she finds euphoric, as sort of also a fourth wall commentary on there not being a baseline body for gal transformers and also how she approaches robot aesthetics in a way many humans don't.
her view on alt modes in this case for herself is kind of all four of the reasons presented by earthspark season 1:

Wikipedia mentions Elektro, a humanoid robot introduced at the 1939 World’s Fair,
“Seven feet tall (2.1 m) and weighing 265 pounds (120.2 kg), it could walk by voice command, speak about 700 words (using a 78-rpm record player), smoke cigarettes, blow up balloons, and move its head and arms. The body consisted of a steel gear, cam and motor skeleton covered by an aluminum skin.”
...but completely leaves out the female burlesque dancer robots.
In a world of megacorps and terror, they were attempting to create the perfect killing machine, learning, deadly, for mass-production as a weapon of terror. Unfortunately, they succeeded...
But, fortunately, they did also end up accidentally giving her a conscience.
And, due to a series of events too bizarre to recall here, she ended up slipping from the TITLEWave universe where she was created (Though, far earlier in the “timeline” than the current period where most of the stuff I write up takes place) to the Memory Palace.
Her main schtick: She likes to fight, in combat, and seeks and relishes the opportunity to find worthy opponents for good fights. But, she tends to specifically seek out immortals.
Because they’re the only ones who can really stand up to what she considers “a good fight,” what with her default weapons being a nigh-unstoppable energy cannon and a monomolecular blade that can basically cut anything.
Well, that and the Experimental PrisMagneField, shown in the gif above (With a big ol EPILEPSY WARNING BTW) which was essentially originally meant to be an experimental take on a force field, but ended up seeming strangely similar to the energy used in TITLEWave’s version of psychic powers, and can do a lot of... interesting stuff (Though she has yet to harness most of it)
She can swap her limbs out for mechanical attachments harvested from other bots and jury-rigged to her systems, and often does even though nine times out of ten they’re usually weaker than her defaults, both because of the challenge factor and also because sometimes it’s nice to actually have usable hands.
Though, as that implies, she does need other folks’ help for that, but she manages with that in her own ways.
She’s hyper-competitive too as a fighter, and has participated in Glitz’s game many times, though she hasn’t won yet, due to various reasons...

A lot of the men excited about advanced robotic sextech are often misogynist turds.
Some men can’t wait to replace real human biological women with female-looking, feminine-performing robots or gynoids.
At least(? or maybe not) real biological women won’t be harmed in the sex trades by men if they’re replaced by female-looking sexbots. Misogynist men shouldn’t have any human social interactions that make real women physically and sexually vulnerable.
The downside of mainstreaming male-dominated robotic sextech (which will likely happen) is the cultural and sexist consequences of a society -- of a world -- where it’s “normal” for there to be mass production, marketing, and consumption/use of literal “female” sex objects.
Y’know how sex trade abolitionists and radfems point out that “Capitalism + Patriarchy = prostitution/porn”, it also equals the robotic sextech industry.
