Blinded by Light

Day 2: Sunshine (Sorry for the late submission due to work and headaches)

Askran Harbor

One early morning, a single person was carry a bag containing its personal belongings, as it made its way to the harbor. The person was a green haired young woman who carries a trolley bag which is green as the trees, yet there was an image of a white pegasus with rainbow colored wings that serves as the front cover design of her green trolley bag, the woman seems to be excited for something as she began to walk fast ahead to the boat.

But then; a preteen girl whose hair was green as the woman but more brighter, ran towards her.

“Palla wait don’t go on ahead without us” cried the preteen girl

“But Nino, the boat will leave anytime soon and I can’t wait to go,” Palla pleaded in excitement.

The girl that Palla called was Nino, who is a young preteen mage who always ‘do her best’ in battles or even in some activities that they are assigned too. And right now she is with Palla, carrying her blueish violet knapsack with a plush wolf keychain on her zipper

“You have to patient Palla, our leader is still waiting for Karel you know” responded Nino in a strict tone

“Alright” sighed the older Whitewing Pegasus Knight in defeat

Within four seconds, Their leader arrived with Karel who carries a duffle bag in his hand.

Karel is a long raven-haired Swordsman who wields a demonic sword, called Wo-Dao and the only male of an all-girl team consist with a Pegasus knight, a green mage and their leader who is a half-dragon.

Their leader however was a white-haired young lady whose age was around twenty-two years old and was revered as the ‘Fateful Princess’ by everyone in the kingdom and the community, her title was shared with her twin brother Corrin who is alternatively called as the ‘Fateful Prince’.

Their leader was called Corrine, the twin sister of Corrin and one of the children of Lady Mikoto.

Today she gathers her fellow team members to ride on the ferry boat, heading towards a resort that was owned by the Askr committee.

A few days earlier she was chosen to participate the Summer Gauntlet sponsored by the Askr committee, which is a challenge for the chosen participants to show their skills in Swimming, Surfing, and Water Polo. But thanks to her twin brother and the support of her team members; she won the competition and earned her trophy and at the same time she receives four seasonal passes to grant access to a beautiful beach resort located on a private island called Corona owned by the royal family of Askr.

While riding on the ferryboat heading towards Corona island where the beach resort was located, Corrine who sat beside Nino while sitting location near the aisle, while she sat near the boat railings. In curiosity she began to look down to the railing to take a glimpse on the water’s surface.

“Hey look dolphins” Palla pointed with excitement.

Soon she looks up from the railings, and began to see a group of dolphins who are jumping from the water and dove back to sea swimming, But then a lone Sea-lion pup who was jumping from water and dove back in order mimic how dolphins do.

At first it was a strange thing to see a lone sea-lion, playing with dolphins since sea-lions are rare to appear in tropical seas; But when a dolphin jumps with the sea-lion; Corrine she saw something that had astonished her, while the dolphin was still jumping as well the sea-lion, she noticed that behind the dolphin was a young woman whose hair was blue as the sea and sky, and her upper body was naked, but then she slightly noticed that she had something blue on her waist, but didn’t see her whole body because it was hidden behind the dolphin as she leapt. Soon the dolphins have dove back into the water, They disappeared alongside with a dolphin were it swam with the sea-lion and the blue haired girl.

“That was an amazing performance” As Palla clapped her hands

“It’s beautiful” cried Nino with glee

“Impressive, dolphins” approved Karel

But for Corrine who remained there standing still with a shock look on her face

Then Nino came to her.

“Did you see that Corrine, The Dolphins must have performed this for us” exclaimed Nino who is still proud of her leader who won the Summer Gauntlet and grant access to the Corona Island for their relaxation.

But her Leader remains silent, as if she didn’t respond to the preteen’s proud compliments; instead she still remains staring at the sea where she had last seen the dolphin jump with the sea-lion and the blue-haired girl

“What’s wrong Corrine, you seem like you seen a ghost or something?” Nino questioned their leader

“Uh...Nino…Did you happen to see a girl swimming with a dolphin and the sea-lion?” asked Corrine who still remain staring at sea where she last saw them.

“No, I don’t see a girl swimming with the dolphins, but just the sea-lion only, nothing else” replied Nino

“When did you come up with that” asked Karel with an unamused look

“I just saw her, with my own eyes” cried Corrine as if she is trying tell the truth

“She has an exquisite blue hair and she’s lovely”

They remained silent for a few seconds after hearing their leader’s words.

Until Palla began to speak

“Come on Corrine, there is no such thing as a girl who swims with the dolphins, I mean how could she swim which is so deep that you cannot see the ocean floor and who knows she might be eaten by a shark” said Palla in disbelief

Corrine realized that Palla didn’t believe her

“This is our vacation, Corrine”, Palla continued,

“You should be in a good mood that you’ve won and heading towards Corona is your reward for winning the competition, and the committee invited us to be with you,” exclaimed Palla who may sound happy but her tone in speaking to her leader was serious.

“It’s just your imagination leader, it’s probably the sun is playing with your eyes” Palla said in conclusion

“Let’s just get inside, we’re almost to the island though” said Palla in a comforting tone to reassure to her leader that it’s just her imagination.”

As the trio return inside the boat, Corrine who still remains there, staring one last time before returning inside.

“Palla’s right, maybe it’s just my imagination” Corrine thought as she returns inside.

Corona Island

20 minutes later the boat had begun to dock on the island's little harbor, as the group began to head down from the boat, and took a carriage shuttle that was arranged by the committee leading to their resort. As they arrived 10 minutes later to a luxurious resort, they were greeted warmly by the staffs of the resort led by the manager who is more of a sixteen year old lady. Suddenly Corrine knew who the manager was.

“Summoner Eva” Corrine silently muttered

“Visitors I welcome you to Corona, the private island where you will have fun in the sun” Eva greeted warmly

“Oh Corrine, Congratulations on winning the Summer Gauntlet” as Eva puts on the flowery garland which are white as her hair.

And soon some of the staffs had begun put the flowery garland onto the remaining her team members.

“Please let our staff show you to your quarters” responded Eva with a smile

As the Corona’s resort staff carry their belongings to their rooms while Palla, Nino and Karel followed

Leaving Corrine with the manager.

“Excuse me, Eva” asked Corrine to the young summoner apprentice

“Yes Corrine” answered Eva

“How did you become it’s manager?” she questioned the apprentice summoner.

“I was assigned by Kiran and the committee, as a part of my training” answered Eva with a grin

“No wonder” Corrine amused knowing that Kiran did this to the let the young summoner who is learning in managing from their head summoner.

“But don’t worry Corrine, I promise you that I will make your Three day vacation very memorable” declared Eva

“Thanks” said Corrine with a smile

“Come on, let’s go to your room” As Eva led her to the room where her team members are waiting for her.

Later in the afternoon The group were at the beach having fun and relaxation at the beach, Corrine who is in the water trying to teach Nino how to swim in the sea, while her remaining members were still back at the beach with Palla sunbathing, and Karel who was practicing his sword moves using a tree branch as its substitute.

“Ok, Nino you have to move your hands like this and then at the same time kick your feet, so it can support you while you swim” said Corrine who is teaching the preteen mage.

“Ok...I’ll do my best” exclaimed Nino who always say those words, as she began to swim as she could. But surprisingly, she manage to swim good but not that excellent as Corrine but she manage to do a somersault and free style swimming.

“Not bad Nino you are a fast learner to swim” said Corrine will total pride, “No wonder you are sometimes gifted not only but magic but to learn fast.”

“Well I really do my best right?” said Nino

“You sure did” Corrine replied back to the pious young mage.

Then a sound of splash was heard in the distance

“Hey Big sis, look” cried Nino looking somewhere in the sea

Corrine looked at the distance, and see dolphins leaping from the water and dove back again

“Dolphins, are they here to celebrate my fast learning in swimming” asked Nino to her leader

“Yeah I guess they do” replied Corrine with a smile

Nino turned her head facing to the beach, and began to call Palla’s name began to tell her that the dolphins are leaping in the air to celebrate of her performance in swimming.

While Nino was still speaking to the Pegasus Knight who is still at the beach. Corrine looks back at the dolphins who are having fun together.

Suddenly a sea-lion pup have leaped into the air.

But as Corrine saw it, She soon realized that the sea-lion that leapt into the air was the very same one that she saw earlier back the boat, when she and her team mates saw it playing with the dolphins in the sea.

But as soon it doves back into the water, It began to jump again with a single dolphin. To her surprise Corrine began to see the blue haired girl again riding on the dolphin on its back while clinging up to its top fin. The girl seems that she’s having fun with them. But then too much of her shock, she finally see that the girl that has something blue on her waist, was revealed to be scales and she has no legs instead her body ended up in a fish tail; She knew that the sun was not playing her eyes after all.

“A mermaid” Corrine muttered, when she the dolphin disappears into the sea with her riding to it.

As Corrine remained silent and still staring to where she saw them, Nino came in to her.

“Big Sis, can you teach me the butterfly stroke?” Nino asked her eagerly

But she still stares at the distance without ever responding to her answers.

“What is it Corrine, you saw the girl playing with the dolphins again” asked Nino

“Yes”, her leader replied in a shocked tone but it wasn’t an outburst or anything.

“But that’s not a human girl” Corrine continued “but a mermaid”

“Really!” cried Nino in surprise and excitement

“Yes, I really saw her, she is a mermaid” The half-dragon replied in a slight surprising tone.

“I don’t know, Big sis but do you think they exist?” said Nino in a little disbelief

“Wait you don’t believe me” said Corrine as if Nino was betraying her.

“I believe you, it’s just that I don’t know if they exists, If they do I want to befriend one” said Nino wishing for that to happened, which makes Corrine smiles a bit.

“Come on, Big sis teach me to do the butterfly stroke so, I can swim with you” Nino pleaded to her.

“Okay, Nino let’s do this” replied Corrine with confidence.

As the afternoon days go by, the sun began to set and Corrine’s team are packing up their beach items and heading back to the resort. Karel went up ahead, alongside with Palla while Nino and Corrine were the last ones to follow them.

Nino was waiting for her leader while she still putting her things in her hand bag, and after a while she told Nino go on ahead and she will catch up to her. With that said Nino went ahead of her leaving her own. After putting all her things in her beach handbag, she began to walk to the direction where Nino used when she heads back to the resort.

Soon Corrine stopped at her tracks when she heard a beautiful voice.

“Who’s singing” Corrine said to herself.

“Why is it so calming”

Rather than heading back, she began to follow the beautiful sound that led her into the other side of the beach.

As she keeps walking in order to follow the mysterious person singing and realized its getting dark, yet she still follows the sound; Soon she stumbled across a coastline where some huge rocks laid there some tides of water flooded the area.

When she enters the place, she finds a beautiful young woman singing facing towards the sea. She was sitting alone on a top of a rock with her barefeet hanging in the air. Corrine was astonished to see a lone woman sitting on the top of a rock where water had surrounded the area where she sat.

But when full moon began to rise from the sea, she finds out that the woman had a straight long hair and its color was the same as the mermaid that she saw earlier in the afternoon: The color of the sea and sky, she has exquisite slender body in which she was clothed in a sleeveless white dress and sees her skin which is beautifully fair and her voice was clear as the waters of the sea while was singing towards it.

As Corrine continues to stare at her, the young woman stopped singing and opened her eyes which are beautifully amber colour, in which the half dragon princess find it very mysterious to her.

When the woman realized that someone was watching her she looks down to her left and see Corrine still looking at her.

“We’re you watching me?” she asked here cautiously

Corrine began to snap out from her trance and began to speak

“Yes,…uh...I mean…..well… not really I just heard you singing that really echoes throughout the beach, where I was and it lure me here to find you

The Blue-haired woman remained silent as she still stares at her

But don’t worry you have beautiful voice which is clear as the sea, yet it enchants me” Corrine reassures her, that she isn’t lying

“I thought so,” she said with a small smile on her face.

“What were you singing to the sea” asked Corrine

“I was singing to sea in hoping I will see him again” she told her as she looking to the sea again

“See him again?” Corrine asked with curiosity

“Who”

She began to speak “He is boy, he had saved me, and in return I saved him, soon we got along so well…that”

Corrine began to take notice that her eyes were near to with tears

*Sniff* “I want to see him again” she began to cry silently

“I’m sorry,” Corrine apologized to her as she climbs up to the rock and sat next to her and stroking her back.

“Its fine...It’s just that I want to see him again” she said sadly as she wiped her tears.

Then something came up to Corrine and began to ask her.

“Hey listen, I’m heading back to my friends, I guess they are worried about me for being gone too long, if you don’t mind you can come with me if you want, so you can tell me more about him, ok”

“Sure” she answered back with a smile

Then Corrine began to stand up and offered her hand as the woman took it and stood up and they began to walk down from the rock and back to the resort.

Side entrance that leads from the corridors to the beach (Sunshine Resort)

Nino who was still waiting for her leader near the side entrance of the resort’s building which leads to the corridors of the hotel rooms. She knew Karel and Palla are already in the room while she was still waiting for Corrine to come back.

“What’s keeping her so long” she asked and decided to head back to the beach to look for her, but when she was about to do it, her leader came back with her things and Nino sighed in relief knowing her leader was safe, but shortly afterwards she was surprised to see her leader bringing a woman wearing a beautiful white dress.

“Corrine, who is this lady,” asked Nino who become curious about her newfound friend

“Oh, I found her sitting by the rock singing to the sea” Corrine explained to her Preteen Team member

“And why did you bring her?” preteen asked her again

“Well it’s complicated, she could be lost or something, so I decided to bring her with me so she could be protected and needed a company” Corrine answered her question.

“Ok” replied Nino

“Come on, let’s go back to our room, I guess Palla and Karel are wondering where we are” as she brings Nino and the lady inside.

The Summer Suite Room of Sunshine Resort

When they returned to their suite room, Palla and Karel were in complete surprise that not only that Corrine and Nino came back, but they also brought in a woman who is very strikingly beautiful. They asked where they found her and their leader answered back ‘That she was lost and need some protection’ and she declares that she will remain with them temporary, until she will be found by someone.

With this, they become very hospitable to their mysterious visitor by letting her stay with them and spend time in their summer relaxation holiday.

One night when her team members are soundly asleep in the rooms that has beds that was within the suite room,

Corrine who is still awake began to uncover the bedcovers of her bed and head towards the other bed that was need the window where the unknown lady was supposedly sleeping instead she finds her still awake looking at the window where she can see the ocean.

“Hello” Corrine greeted her mysterious guest.

“Oh, hello” she greeted her back while she still staring at the night ocean.

“Why are you still awake” Corrine asked

“I’m praying to the stars” she answered

“Really” said Corrine with fascination,

“Are you wishing to the stars” The half-dragon princess asked her again

“Wish?” The Lady asked in curiosity, “What is that?”

Then Corrine began to explain that ‘a wish is feeling of a strong desire that could be attainable or not,

But when the lady heard the word ‘not’ she became sad, knowing that her wish will never been attained meaning she will never see him again.

Suddenly Corrine remembers when the lady mentions about ‘him’ and began to recall the first meeting with her by the sea, and wanted to know more about ‘seeing him again’.

“Hey don’t be sad I’m sure your wish will come true somehow” Corrine comforted the blue-haired lady as she began to ask something about ‘seeing him’

“Can you tell me about this someone you were hoping to see?”

“Ok, then” she answered back as she began to tell her tale.

After long hours of hearing her story, Corrine began to yawn as she feels sleepy.

“Would like me to stop there, you seem tired” the lady asked in concern.

“Yes, you can tell me some tomorrow” said Corrine as she began to walk to her bed and place the bedcovers over her body. Then the blue-haired lady walk to her bed and began to sing a beautiful lullaby which is all about the sea, in which Corrine will fall asleep hearing her beautiful voice which is clear at the sea.

The Next Morning when Corrine woke up and sees the bed were the lady slept last night was empty, she wonders where did she went off too. As she gets out of her bed and began to head out of her bedroom and sees her companions getting ready for their island hopping,

“Morning, Leader” Palla greeted to Corrine

“Morning, Palla” She greeted her back

“Did you guy see her” she asked to her team members

The Demonic swordsman shook his head, While Nino replies with a no.

Palla, however reply with a yes, who told her leader that she just went home because she has something important with her family, but she reassures them that she will come back this night.

“I guess it’s something urgent with her family” Nino told her leader

“Yeah, we should not mingle with her personal business with her family” Karel added his words with Nino.

“I supposed your right” Corrine agreed with a sigh

“For now we are preparing for Island hopping” exclaimed Palla with excitement, “I’ve heard that we are going to a motor boat and go to three islands where there is sand and the sea”.

“Yeah, I’ve heard from Lord Eliwood, that he tried that with Ninian, Roy and Catria, he said it was amazing” Nino added with excitement.

“Ok then, let us prepare to-

Suddenly Nino’s stomach was heard.

“Sorry, I think I’m hungry already” said Nino with embarrassment

Then Palla responded after hearing her pious mage stomach grumbled

“Well, since we are hungry, let us head down to eat breakfast and head back to our rooms, for a time to prepare.”

Somewhere in the Sea

After eating breakfast and their thirty-minutes of preparing for island hopping, the group have already assemble in the coastline harbour, where the boatman led them to the electric-sailboat and assisted everyone to get on board and began sailing to three different islands found in the Corona region. While sailing into the seas, Nino began to love the feeling of the sea breeze while wearing her lavender sundress, as she felt her little green hair getting blown by the wind, While Palla who wears her swimsuit and a shawl on her waist, who is basking in the sun combined with the feeling of the ocean breeze. While Karel remain inside the shade of the boat, who dislikes to feel the strong exposure to the sun, even though he is wearing Blue rash guard with black shorts and his long hair was tied up in a braid by Palla to much of his chagrin, As for Corrine she was wearing her white swimsuit with a tied knot in the middle and in her waist was frilly white swim skirt that looks a bit girly according to Karel, but she likes it in the end.

Then she hold onto the boat railings and began looking out at the sea, She saw that the sun at up high and the sea began to sparkle with its light making the sea with a beautiful scenery. Though she was distracted by the beautiful scenery. Something had caught her eye whether sun was playing her vision or was she imagining things.

In front of them was an orca jumping and diving back into sea, with its back facing down, At first it was a spectacular view for them to witness this rare occasion, but when the second orca jumps, Corrine noticed that in its back was the very same mermaid from yesterday, riding on it back while clinging on its top fin.

“Everyone Look” Corrine cries out as she points her finger towards the orca that jumped where the mermaid was riding on.

But when her team members tries to look, but they cannot see well, because the sun’s ray became too bright and the sea was fused with its light making sparkled and it became hard to see, if they witness the mermaid was riding on the orca or not.

Soon the Orca disappears with her.

“Nice one, Corrine you just saw a second orca jump and it dove back beautifully,” Palla cried out with glee.

Corrine who had lost in words knowing Palla just saw the orca only, rather the mermaid, on its back, she began to ask the Pegasus knight.

“Did you see something else, like someone riding on the orca’s back”

Palla shook her head

“Nope, I don’t see someone riding on it, just the orca only” replied Palla

“I....See….” Corrine replied sadly, knowing Palla will not believe her or Karel either. For Nino it’s hard for her to tell, whether she was what she was looking for, or not.

Instead she remain silent as they reached to their first destination

Throughout the remaining day they have fun playing in the water, in first island while on the second island the boatman led them to a special cuisine, that serves seafood and meat which serves as their lunch. But when they reach to the third and last island, they spent the remaining hours of collecting shell and walking at the seashore with the sun that is often bright.

When Corrine walks in seashore alone, she reencounters the same sea-lion pup alone with its head and half of its body being stuck on the sand. As if it wants to get out from being stuck in the sand. Soon the half-dragon princess began to go near the sea-lion pup who got stuck, and decided to help it.

Unbeknownst to her, someone was watching her from the sea behind the rock.

After few minutes of pulling, the pup manage to break free from being stuck in the sand and then being carried by Corrine in her hands

“You okay” Corrine asked to sea-lion pup in a concern tone,

Then the Sea-lion nodded its head as if it can understand her language

“Oh Good, I thought you might not breathe while your head got stuck in the sand” Corrine replied gratefully.

As she wipe the sand on the sea-lion’s face and puts it down near the waters.

“You have to go now” said Corrine, “I guess your kin will be worrying about you”

As she turned her back and began to head back to the others, leaving the sea-lion pup alone.

The witness who saw everything from the sea, began to call the Sea-lion as it head back to the water, after settling the sea-lion pup in its arms; the witness dove back into the sea.

After returning to the Main Island and heading back to their suite room for cleaning themselves as they prepare to for their supper cuisine, Afterwards, they began to do their own free time, roaming the resort, going to the resort’s café or walking by the beach.

Nino went to hotel’s own library with Palla for another reading lesson with Whitewing Pegasus knight, while Karel returns to the suite room for him to rest. For Corrine however decided to head for the beach for her to recall the same sight that she encountered from yesterday and today,

Beach at Night

As she approaches to the seashore where the moon had rose from the sea, she began close her eyes, trying to recollect the memories that she encountered, the strange sightings of the mermaid, playing with dolphins and whales, the mirage visitor that comes at night, and the same sea-lion pup that got caught stuck in the sand. She wonders if this is all her imagination or if the sun was playing tricks on her eyes. But for now she needs to learn a bit

Suddenly, something began to approach towards Corrine

“Who’s there” Corrine barked out towards the person who is approaching her. “It’s just me” said the person behind the rocks,

The person began to step out from the rock’s shadow; and realized in front of her was the same girl from last night wearing the usual sleeveless white dress, and her blue long hair had swayed back and forth by the evening cool breeze and her glowing amber eyes gazing on her.

“You”, Corrine said in a whisper

“Are you surprised that I’m here?” she asked

“Yeah a bit” Corrine answered back

“Why are you here, alone?” she asked

“Oh, I got a lot of things in my mind lately” Corrine responded as if she got tired from thinking alone

“Like what?” she asked

“Well you see, when I first came to this island I encountered a strange phenomenon coming from the sea.” The half-dragon began to explain all of her strange encounters that she find yesterday and today.

After explaining everything to the mysterious blue-haired lady, then blue haired girl began to speak.

“So none of your friends, ever believe that you saw a real mermaid in front of your eyes” as she tries to get it straight from the girl’s words.

“Yes” she said sadly

“Hmm…” sighed the mysterious lady

They remain standing there in silence, but the only thing they can hear was sound of the ocean waves

The Corrine began to break the silence

“Hey, can you continue the story that you left off” she asked politely

“Of Course” The Blue haired-lady replied.

As 2 hours have passed the Mysterious visitor finished her story.

“So you were looking for a man named Corrin right?” the half-dragon princess asked

“Yes, I met him fifteen years ago, he saved me and I saved him, we became friends for a short time, when it’s time for me to head home. We say our goodbyes to each other and then I went home with my family, but he moved away from the village where we lived together as friends, Throughout the years I prayed to the stars if I will see him again” then Blue haired-lady finished her explanation.

“I see” Corrine said in speechless.

“Well I do have a twin brother who is also named Corrin” said the half-dragon

“You do” the lady responded with a hopeful shine in her eyes.

“Yes he is my sweet older twin who always loves to help and protect people” Corrine describes her twin sibling

After hours of talking, The Mysterious lady now fuelled with hope, decided to leave early

“I have to go now” she said as she stands up and began to walk to the other side of the Sea coast

“Aren’t you going to stay for the night with us” Corrine offers the request to stay for the night

The Lady stopped at her tracks

“Thank you Corrine, I appreciate your humble offer to stay for the night but I have to decline your offer” she answered

“Why can’t you stay, it’s just for one night and you can leave tomorrow” asked Corrine who wanted her to stay so she can talk more about her.

“I’m sorry my family told me, that I have to be home early, they scolded me yesterday when I arrived home one morning and they asked me where I was. When they learned what happened to me they forbade not to spend the night with you. They are worried about me much.” She said sadly

“Will I see you again, tomorrow?” Corrine asked

“I don’t think so; I have always stayed home and play with my friends during day time, it is because I’m watching the house while my parents are gone” answered the blue-haired girl in sadness knowing she wanted to spent more time with her and her friends and learning more from them.

“I’m sorry” she apologizes

“It’s Okay”, said Corrine as if she is very disappointment to see her off

“Good bye” The blue haired woman waved to Corrine as the half-dragon wave back to her.

After Corrine watches her go she decided to head back to their suite room to prepare for tomorrow: Heading Home.

Sunshine Resort (Lobby)

Around 10 am Corrine, Palla, Nino and Karel are now at the Sunshine Resort lobby with all their bags, waiting for their shuttle carriage to bring them to the harbor and then ride the boat, home to Askr Kingdom.

While waiting for their shuttle ride, Eva came to them

“Are you heading back to Askr Kingdom” asked Eva

“Yeah it’s sad that the trip only last for three days, and we could have stayed more for the fun” Palla said in a slight disappointment

“But at least we manage to make our vacation very memorable for us to remember” said Nino As she began to pull out her special camera that she obtained as a gift from Robb (known as Male Robin).

Here, she clicked her camera on and she began to show Eva and Palla, the pictures that she took during their trip. She showed them, the pictures that she took, when they are riding the ferry going to the island, to the time

they had fun in the beach, including one when she was taught by Corrine how to swim (Which was taken by Palla).

And then she also show some pictures taken from their island hopping and somewhere from the hotel.

“You seem to have a lot of memories to keep Nino” said Palla with a proud look in her face.

“Oh yeah, I have something to show you” said Nino as she clicked the forward button of her camera

Here, The camera photo of the sun rising in the sky had shift into a video clip of a white light coming from rocks near the sea.

“Uh…Nino?” Eva asked “when did you took this”

“This early morning,” answered Nino as she began to tell her experience.

“When I was having my morning walks and taking pictures, I stumble across a white light coming from the rocks near the sea and I decided to go there and take a video, thinking that the sun had begun to rise,”

“Let me play the video”

Then she clicked the camera’s play button and it began to play the a thirty second video clip, showing a massive white light that shone behind the huge rocks near the sea, and around 10 seconds the light began to fade into nothingness ending the video clip.

“That’s a strange phenomenon you took Nino, that’s amazing” Palla cried out in amazement

‘Thanks Big sister Palla” replied Nino with a Smile

As the two green-haired girls are still chatting. Corrine who is still in thoughts of what happened to the mysterious visitor, that she talked and hang out two days ago and she still recalls her beautiful voice, her exquisite beauty, her beautiful long hair with the colors of the sea and sky and also her mysterious amber eyes that she felt strange on her soul.

Moreover than that, she still remembers the visitor form a hopeful smile on her face when I mention my brother’s name and she said that she will him soon, but she will have to wait when the time comes for her to go and find him. I assumed that she lives in Corona as the daughter of village leader, and she’s working hard for her to go anywhere.

Her thoughts were stopped when Eva came to her holding a package in her hands,

“Corrine,” Eva began to speak to the half-dragon. “There is a lady, who came to me and gave me this package” as she hold the cloth wrapped package upfront. “She said, give this to Corrine”

Corrine knew that the package that Eva had was from the girl who had a clear voice.

“Thanks” Corrin replied as she accepted the package from the Manger, and at the same time the Shuttle had arrived to take them to the harbor.

“Well you need go, now” said Eva

After loading their belongings to the shuttle, the group entered the bus and began to wave goodbye to Eva as they are taken to the harbor heading home.

Corona Harbor

When they arrived to the harbor , Corrine began to wonder why did the mysterious visitor that she befriended gave her a package, which is covered in a green cloth and was wrapped properly also it smells like a salty seawater.

As she walked towards the ferry boat, Corrine began to see the ocean where the sun was already high in the sky meaning it’s going to be noon and hot. Shortly after viewing the sun and the sparkling ocean, she enters the boat and sat near the railings where the ocean can be seen in view. While sitting there, she heard a splash coming from the sea as she looked down she saw the same sea-lion which she saved yesterday, in its mouth was bottle and inside was a scrolled message.

The sea-lion jumped into the air as Corrine manage to grab the bottle as the sea-lion goes back to the water and swam away. Holding both package and the message bottle, she began to think why did the lady gave her a package and the sea-lion, a message in a bottle.

As the ship began to leave Corona harbor to Askran Harbor, Corrine began to look into her left and sees Nino sleeping with her bag as a pillow. With her teammates sleeping, she opens the bottle and shakes it as the letter was removed and then she opens it and began to read.

Dear Corrine

When you read this letter, I know that you are going back home with your friends right. If so then I will miss you so much. I’m sorry that I turned down your offer for staying with you and your friends last night, because I told you ‘that my parents are worrying about me right?’ To tell you the truth the reason I turned down your offer is that my parents are worried about me for not being home in the bottom of the sea where I lived.

At first Corrine didn’t understand the letter that mysterious lady wrote to her about.

Soon she continues to read her letter

Do you remember When I said this to you ‘that I have always stayed home during the day time, either I’m playing with friends and sometimes looking after the house while my parents are gone’ The truth is I never went out to surface because my beloved father and mother are the rulers of the kingdom beneath the sea and they always go to official duties in ruling and attending councils almost every day. I remain at home in my father’s palace for my protections of sorts and when I mean playing with my friends, I played with Poppy’s friends who is an orca and a dolphin.

Poppy is my sea-lion companion that you help her pulling her head out from being stuck in the sand. Poppy is often careless when she jumps out of the water and dove back without knowing where she was heading. I was going to the shore to get her out until I realized you were coming to the place to where I was, then I hid myself in the sea behind the rock to see you pulling her head out of the sand for me. I thank you for that.

Soon Corrine recalls all her encounters that she witnessed the dolphins and orcas jumping and diving in the sea with the sea-lion jumping with them and remembers the mermaid that she saw, riding on the dolphin‘s back and sometimes orca’s. she wonders if the mermaid and the mysterious lady were connected

As she was still reads letter, she realized it was her all along.

“Corrine, when you said that your friends don’t believe that you saw a mermaid playing with the dolphins and sometimes with the orca and you also said that one of your friends says that your eyesight vision were playing tricks by the sun. The truth is…I am a mermaid, a sea princess of the sea kingdom of Valla I came on land to test out the legs that I perform magic with my mother’s pendant. And also The Sun isn’t tricking your eyes, what you witness is true and I’m an actual mermaid. My name is Aqua, I am the crown princess of Valla and the daughter of the siren queen Arete and Merking Cratos. It’s nice meet you Corrine, I hope that one day I will see you again along with your brother who shares the same name as the my savior that I met when I was little. The package I gave you is a shell flute which is a gift of gratitude for helping Poppy out.

I hope that I will meet you again someday when The sun will rise once again

Love from the seas that I called home Princess Aqua of Valla Kingdom

As Corrine finish reading the letter. She began to open the cloth wrapped package and inside was the shell flute.

Soon she stood up from her seat and head towards the starboard of the ferry boat, and began to play the flute to create a harmonious sound combining hers and the ocean breeze, Shortly after playing her flute she began to hear a clear and beautiful voice singing in the sea, the same voice she heard when she sang her a lullaby about the sea. As she looked down at the railings, she saw the sea-lion pup who she knew it was Poppy who rose to the surface swimming alone but then something is coming towards the surface.

Beside the Sea-lion, was the mermaid that she had witness from the day when she arrived to Corona where she first met her while she was singing on the top of rock quite alone in the moonlight singing to the sea. She rose to the surface still swimming beside Poppy, Then Corrine began to wave at her, as she waved back in return.

Soon someone was calling Corrine’s name as the mermaid and the sea lion disappears to the sea

“Oh hey, Palla” replied Corrine

“Did you see something cool.” asked The Pegasus Knight.

“No” the half-dragon replied

“It’s just sun it was playing a trick in my eyesight” she answered back with a smile.
