Dick LOVES Claire; he sees that woman as a second mother. Claire listened to him, played with him, gave him advice, and told him stories about her culture and planet.

Dick wanted Claire as his mother. He NEEDED Bruce to put a beautiful, elegant ring of at least 20 carats of gold and diamonds on that finger and to give him his traditional, PAN-affiliated family.

BUT THE BAT DIDN'T DO IT!

He said stupid things about them just being coworkers, just friends, what-not, and what-not.

And that's how Dick couldn't have his family consisting of a mom and a dad. All he had to do was put up with a neurotic idiot.

How sad his life is.

but i did it i finally drew lex with clara!!! i have many many feelings about these two... its nice to draw them being cute because most of my plot bunnies for them are very sad and angsty

bruce is very judgy but bruce has two main squeezes who are both supervillains so maaaaybe clara's not the only person who should be worried about irony poisoning here

i think i just used "plot bunnies" seriously and in context
