I've read a few reviews saying that Preston knew, but there's NO way that he realised that Jules was aphrodite.
Reason One - Time span/ He really doesn't remember,
Preston meets Jules 3 months after the attack. They have casual flings lets say for a few months so.....by the time he finds out the truth, the attack was 6, 7 months ago.

Reason Three/ Preston never thought he'd meet someone just as crazy as he is.
Preston is the thugish borderline psycho in his relationships. He never thought in a million years that someone would match his energy. He NEVER thought that someone would be unhinged enough to string him along for months. Especially a [Feminine Faggot" that he considers inferior ] That's why he kept calling Jules a "Psycho" at the end.

Reason Four His Self Preservation,
We all know that Preston is deeply closeted and he's going to stay that way, There is no way that he would approach or fuck the same drag queen that he beat up three months ago. He's careful. He has to be bc he can't afford to get caught and outed. The second Preston had a flashback at any point Jules would have been in trouble. Example,
At the sauna, he would have told Jules to Fuck off.
In his room, he would have thrown his clothes at him and told him to piss off.
The car hook up, he probably would have driven over Jules and given him the finger.
There's no way that Preston would have knowingly hooked up with Jules knowing the truth, bc what weirdo sleeps with the same person that's beaten them up? Preston would have seen the red flags immediately. He maybe a chav, but he isn't stupid. His savviness is illustrated throughout the film. If he'd recognized Jules from the start, he would have started running, for his own safety.
Prestons need to stay closeted trumps any short lived queer attraction that he has.
