Elita’s Midwar Crisis

Note: aYE I got off my aft and wrote something! Are you proud?? Anyways a mini story based off the G1 movie after Optimus dies. Elita faces the harsh news. Excuse the bad title. I’m horrible at them. >.<

The shocking news got out and made its way to Cybertron. Optimus Prime was dead. Everyone knew about it except one ... Elita. The other’s weren’t exactly sure how she’ll take the devastating news. The poor femme has been through enough as is. Chromia being her closet friend told the others of the team to keep the news to themselves...for now at least. Chromia didn’t want to make things worse for the femme. She’s already been drinking less just from Optimus leaving Cybertron. Who knows she might even start to not recharge. Chromia didn’t want that. They needed her. At her best. More than ever. 

One day Chromia knocked on Elita’s private quarters to speak with her. ‘’Elita? Can we talk? You haven’t left you quarters yet today. Elita?’’ The blue femme sighed as she kept knocking. ‘’Elita, please answ-’’ She begged. Suddenly Chromia was pulled into the room by Elita, quickly locking the door behind her. There were tears stained on the pink femme’s faceplates. She’s been crying. ‘’H-He’s gone...H-He’s not responding.’’ Elita choked out suddenly and covered her mouth with one of her servos as the other was placed over her spark. Tears started to form in her optics again. Her spark felt shattered. 

Chromia was a little lost. Though she was thinking.. maybe she knew? ‘’W-Who’s not responding?’’ She tilted her head in question, slightly confused. Well, playing dumb. ‘’Optimus!’’ Elita yelled. ‘’You knew this whole time, didn’t you? You and the others have been extremely quiet around me! Tell me!’’ She exclaimed in a snappy tone. She only just found out because of the use of the spark bond she had with the Prime. It was quiet and empty feeling. Chromia flinched, hearing the spark break in her commander’s voice. She sighed and nodded solemnly. ‘’Yes...we knew. Truth is we just didn’t know how to confront you. I’m sorry, Elita but yes...He is offline...’’ She spoke sadly. 

There was a moment of silence that came to the room. Though one could just hear Elita’s quiet sobs. ‘’T-This isn’t fair.’’ She muttered and shook her helm rapidly, not believing this. ‘’How could this happen? H-He promised...’’ Elita stuttered and looked at the ground unable to finish her sentence. Chromia sighed as she watched her friend and walked over to her, giving her a big tight hug that Optimus probably would have at this moment. 

For the rest of the evening, Chromia just let Elita relax and have time to herself to take this all in. Chromia felt bad now for making her wait. Though she just let her have the night off. She needed it.
