“Found it!!!” Zoey announced right after letting out a shriek of triumph; after like half an hour of rummaging through the cabin’s closets, she had finally gotten her hands into something much needed to pass the night with at least some semblance of comfort.

Blankets, big and thick enough all three girls could even make do with just one if they huddled closer to each other. Something she’d say yes to.

Logistically, though, it may be a nightmare: Zoey moved tons while sleeping, there was around a fifty percent chance Rumi did the same depending on what she dreamed of, and Mira might sleep like a vampire but she was prone to waking up easily when disturbed-- and she would be disturbed, thinking otherwise was quite dumb.

(Little did Zoey, or any of them by that matter, know that someday they all would be sharing a bed regularly and all these issues wouldn’t matter.)

“I’m almost done with the fire!!” Was Rumi’s response, her words sounding closer and closer as she approached. Mira, she guessed, would be either finishing sorting out their food or setting up their seats by said fire. Cooking, also was another of Zoey’s tasks: despite how all hunters had been trained in basic survival skills, she was the one with most experience in terms of making do with a bunch of regular food rather than finding something edible in the wilderness: she could thank her background of a working class student for that.

“This is going well, we may still be alive when Celine comes back tomorrow.” Mira commented, almost deadpan, and the three girls shared a laugh.

“Do you think this is legit hunter training, or did she just want a night off away from our shenanigans?” Zoey then ventured. Besides, she wanted to know both Rumi and Mira’s opinions, in general and because she had reached no conclusion.

“My vote goes for legit hunter training.” Rumi answered in a heartbeat.

“Sure, but I bet she still wanted a day off anyway.” Mira also added. “That’s why it’s happened now.”

Then, there was only just one thing Zoey had to say about it.

“Well, that checks out. Both, I mean.”

HP Sapphic Microfics: April 2024

These prompts can be taken and interpreted every which way you want, including changing the tense or pronouns or order of any dialogue. You do not have to stick with what might be the most straightforward association, and every individual prompt post will include a few suggestions to get you started.

Fanfiction Prompt: 001

Not enough Rita Stories!

A disability support worker, Malinda, helping her client access her education.

Her client, Andy, is enrolling into a new school whose principal is a kind, and warm woman. Her name is Rita.

Andy's mother, the Malinda and Andy all met together in the principals' office. Malinda sat quiet and encouraged Andy to speak and set this up to the best of her abilities.

Rita noticed and smiled in appreciation. With the meeting over. Malinda thanked Rita for allowing Andy to work some things out on her own. Rita replied, "My pleasure, I look forward to working with you in Andy's support." Her eyes warmed to Malinda.

Rita asks what Malinda needs, what Andy needs, and anything else that can help.

The days run as a new normal. Classes attended, assignments and homework getting completed at home. Everything running smoothly. Until Andy starts to find a boy interesting. Andy and this boy become closer, and Malinda finds herself being invited to tea in Rita's office.

"He is my son, and I'm not unhappy that Him and Andy are getting closer, but I feel we need to watch out for them." They chat about the situation and have a plan to chat to the kids.

Rita and Malinda start to grow closer, dinner invites, movie nights, errands ran, hanging out and doing their hobbies together, dates (Both are a little unsure if they are actual dates.) Relationship becomes outlined and they grow even happier.

Andy also now is with Rita's son and they are happy.
