On This Day in Baseball History April 23, 1999: Fernando Tatis of the St. Louis Cardinals becomes the first player to hit two grand slams in the SAME inning. Incredibly, both salamis came off of the SAME pitcher: Chan Ho Park of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Including Tatis, 13 players have hit two grand slams in the same game.
Tatis also set the record for most RBI in one inning with eight.
