The Cortina is a left hand drive and is originally from California where it spent most of it's life until recently. The exterior and interior is in exceptionally good condition for the age of the car.

The Cortina was first produced in 1962 and the first models were called Consul Cortinas but in early 1963 the name was changed to Cortina, a name borrowed from the Italian skiing resort Cortina d' Ampezzo in the Dolomite mountains, the site of the 1956 Winter Olympics. As a publicity stunt, several Cortinas were driven down the bobsled run at the resort which was called Cortina Auto-Bobbing.

Grand total of 19 Trophy's For Ferndown

A very well done to “Team Ferndown” today at the Junior Judo Nationals in Birmingham on Saturday 26 April, Chairman John Hanrahan said “Ferndown Jitsu Club had asmall team of 12 Jitsuka on the mat this time but, we still came home with a massive haul of 7 Gold, 6 Silver, 4 Bronze and two 4th’s a grand total of 19 Trophy’s and 3 Medals” Sensei Olli Preston from Ferndown Jitsu Club won the Gold in Open Compitition as well.

It was a long old day but you all are a credit to Sensei Rob Hanrahan and his team of fantastic Instructors, also it must be said with Sensei Fiona Richardson and the New Wessex Jitsu Club from Poole, the South Coast came home with a grand total of 32 Trophy’s.

Overall Ferndown Jitsu Club won the Open Competition and came second in the National Judo Competition.
