Ferncloud Redesign

[ Ferncloud is a little, short-furred, pale gray she-cat with darker flecks, and pale leaf-green eyes. ]

someone had requested ferncloud, so here she is!

She represents everything bad abt how the Erin’s treat their she-cats. I love her so much, but I also feel bad for her

Design Notes:

- Her chest fur/mane, and tail represent ferns. I wasn’t looking at a particular picture/species, but you know the ones? The obit ones that people keep in their houses? I’ll find a picture

- Has a green tint to look more fern

- She and As*fur are twins. She’s the shorter chubbier one, and Ash is the skinny tall one; despite this, Fern is older than Ash.

- Ferncloud has her mom’s ‘eye bags’, but there’re facing up so it looks like she has faint mascara on. She also has an uneven muzzle pattern, with more facing her left, our right. Ashfur has the opposite of both of these, but I’ll go over that in his post.

- Overall she looks like her mom. The only thing she got from her dad were his tufts and eye shape.

Headcannons:

• She, Ashfur and Cloudtail stayed close after Brindleface’s death, and Fern’s kits would often have playdates with Cloud’s kits. And when Cloud and Fern were busy, Ashfur would babysit them, playfighting with them and telling stories about his mother among other things

• She and Dustpelt were friends during her apprenticeship, but became mates around 3 moons after she got her name, and had their first litter just as Firestar left for Skyclan (So around a year after they first became mates I think). This makes their relationship slightly less weird, considering that warriors still get together young.

• As Ferncloud grew with age, she became respected among the other queen at gatherings, and they would come to her for help & questions about anything kit-related. Kinda like a mother’s Facebook group, where Ferncloud is the eldest one with all the tips and tricks? Idk

• She (along with Daisy but especially her), was the clans shoulder to cry on. The mother of the clan if you would. She would comfort you & cuddle with you despite age or rank, because she simply cared for ThunderClan as if it was her own kit. When asked why she does this, or when she’s asked if she’s okay, all she’ll do is smile and nod before changing the subject.

• When she wasn’t watching kits or caring for someone, she would take long walks with just about anyone (but especially with Dustpelt, Cloudtail, and Ashfur before Squirrelflight), and she would go around collecting accessories and trinkets for the clan/kits to use. Something she inherited from her mother, that Frostfur and any cat that knew her would point out often.

• Motherly gentle lad. I hate that the fandom killed her off like that
