When I was little I had these Megabloks dragon toys and I thought they were the coolest shit ever. I wanted to draw gijinkas of the two that I owned which were "Darkcrown" and "Ferrarius"

I don't think I ever assigned Ferrarius a gender beyond "cool dragon" but Darkcrown was always a dragon lady in my mind. I never read up on the lore, if there even was any. Here's the original dragon toys:

i think i might change Ferre to Ferra, it looks better only problem is establishing that he and irascor are both dudes

Ferre’s name is pronounced like fair-uh btw not fairy, his clan’s suffix is always pronounced like ra.

so anyway this is Ferre/Ferrarius this is about the age he'll be in the story, around two years into his apprenticeship, when it became apparent that he's a fush. his wings are small because he only got them two years ago, it'll be another 2-3 years before he can fly.

whoops forgot to mention that it's unclear whether Ferre's a fush that will stop growing or not. he wants to be a wingmaker, but if he doesn't stop growing they'll banish him to the Hungry Mountains

mmmkay so like I gotta change their names because the ones i’ve been calling them are copyrighted and the nickname of one of them sucks but it stuck

like there aren’t even any puppies in this world, how can he be nicknamed Puppypaws

anyway so Irascor and Ferrarius. Ferrarius is Puppypaws. He’s a fush and an ice-breather from Aurora’s clan, hence the nickname. He’s a pale gray-green, the color of lichen, and I really need to change his name to something ending in -re or -ra because yay naming conventions making things easier. (Ferra? Ferre? Ferrare? idk man, i kinda like Ferre tho) His armor will be made of iron.

As part of being a fush, he has bright blue eyes that cloud over, obscuring his ordinary sight, when he looks into the future. He can’t really control this until he’s a mature adult. He is a gentle soul, apprenticed to a flyer, and he enjoys flowers and the beauty of nature.

Irascor (pity i’ve got to change that name, it’s a good one) is a fire-breather from Singe’s clan. He’s dark rust-red, the color of drying blood (kind of at odds with his name, that’s the name of an iridescent dragon and Irascor is Not iridescent). He’s apprenticed to Thagron, the smith of Singe’s clan. (gotta decide who’s the flyer Ferre’s apprenticed to)

He’s generally gruff and prickly to everyone, unless someone manages to touch his heart. He’s the kind of dragon who would normally be bullied, but Ferre’s the main target so he usually gets ignored. His armor will be gold-leafed iron.

(Rascor? Ascor? Irra? nah, he’s not from that clan. maybe something new like Allbiter? mmh, too pretentious. Burn? Aurian because of the armor? Shattertooth? just plain Shatter? Glassbite? Arriscor? Iscor? ooo i like Iscor
