oooh thats a really interesting question... fai's echo manifests as bursts of memory.. he experiences it as if it were his own memory -feelings and all! - and sometimes it's difficult for him to differentiate between his memories and others'. afterwards an echo vision he does get a killer headache lollll

13. for the canon casters: what does casting magic feel like to your wol? how does being "out of mana" feel?

i havent thought about this at all......! since he mains drk he's mostly using emotion (hate, rage, love, etcetera.) - that is, dynamis, - to enhance his attacks but that's not really... aether. he's really bad at aether casting at first i think... but he slowly gets better at it. his true strength will always be dynamis though!

20. what is your wol's best quality? what's the thing that they do that really gets stuff done of makes people like them? hard mode: their own perception vs. a friend or partner's perception.

his best quality...?

for how other's see him (the scions & wuk lamat and co. for example) i'd say his outward stoicism. he's very very hard to shake after endwalker i'd say.. so he SEEMS like a dependable person (no no no no he's not he's just dissociating </3)

as for how partner's see him.. that really depends on the partner wwwwww. for haurchefant he sees a powerful but struggling warrior. for granson he sees a mess of something that also gets worse and then better. for sidurgu... erm. thats a complicated situationship that would take at least a paragraph to explain. zenos is... how do i put this. at first he only sees fai as the WoL but as time goes on he realises that fai is truly unique in the sense that he's never had someone like that in his life.. so he does see fai for himself.. and its really refreshing for fai.

as for his own perception. um. it's bad </3 most wet dog main character syndrome ever but also THE worst self-worth in the world

5. Who is most likely to carry the other?

LMAO this question. spiritually, leofard thinks it'd be really funny to princess carry the godslaying, worlds-saving champion of light. realistically, you can't convince me that leo has any muscle on his body beyond whatever's necessary for sky pirate activities, and his dietary habits are canonically awful. if anyone is going to get carried it's him <3 preferably while injured and unable to walk <3

14. Who kisses the hardest?

This one goes to leo, he's putting everything into those kisses. not to say that moro'a doesn't, but my boy is a hard nut to crack and favours being more subtle.

20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?

The scions view them with varying levels of amusement, confusion and suspicion. alisaie took on the role of wary younger sister very quickly; less out of possessiveness (though there's a smidge of that) and moreso a genuine concern that they won't last. she insists her dislike of pirates has nothing to do with it. erenville withers any time he has to interact with leofard. tataru is delighted for the both of them.

Deipo will find out eventually, but as of now she isn't aware of their relationship. i'm not sure she cares enough to know right now.

As for the redbills, they're thrilled that they have something new to tease leofard about! stacia's...happy. happy that he allowed himself to have this, that he didn't decide that keeping raimille's promise meant having to cut off something else that he loves.

24. have fyfraha had to forgive each other for anything?

Fyfnar had to forgive Raha many times for sacrificing himself, for forcing himself to bear the burden of hope. I don’t know if he ever entirely forgave him, though he loved him more fiercely to make up for it. Now he watches over Raha and protects him when he won’t protect himself; I think he’s starting to let go of the fear by the end of Dawntrail, but the instinct to protect Raha is still there.

He is also a little upset with him for withdrawing at the last minute from the journey to Tural (even though he understands his reasons! he wanted Krile to come too!) He wishes Raha had confided in him earlier instead of keeping it secret (even though it wasn’t a surprise to him, because Raha is terrible at keeping secrets). He takes it harder because it brings to mind the most painful parts of their time on the First.

The biggest thing Raha had to forgive Fyf for was dying in the averted timeline. Every time Fyf risks himself, exerts himself too hard, or gets hurt, Raha is reminded of how it felt to lose him. To placate him, Fyf has to reassure him that he’s not taking risks, and he also has to learn to take more care of himself.

The other thing is harder to put into words, because I don’t think Raha ever saw it as something to fairly hold against Fyf. The reasonable part of him doesn’t really resent Fyf for anything, but he’s had a long time to experience the entire spectrum of human emotion in.

I think some part of Raha always wishes that Fyf had stopped him from walking into the Crystal Tower; called him back, refused to be reasonable. Some part of him resents that Fyf could go on so (apparently) easily without him. He also resents him the cleanness of his sacrifice in the averted timeline; he left Raha to deal with everything after he was done, when all Raha wants is to have fought by his side and died for him in his own present.

As the Exarch, maybe he also resents him a little for remembering the old him so fondly. Fyf has no right to speak of that dead man like it’s easy; he has no right to offer him that affection when it’s too late for him to accept it. He’s also thrown by the openness with which Fyf meets him on the First (the truth is that Fyf has recognised him; he doesn’t speak of it since the Exarch won’t, but he’s so willing to meet him with warmth and the Exarch doesn’t know what to do with that). Fyfnar is still so unspoiled, and so willing to trust him; he is everything the Exarch isn’t any more.

He does come to forgive him for everything when he gets his second chance - it was all worth it; this world is worth both Fyf’s sacrifice and his own.

3. how do fyf and hildi compliment each other?

Fyf and Hildi compliment each other all the time! They’re always observing each other with admiration, and declaring that admiration in glowing, exuberant terms. They call each other handsome, heroic, swashbuckling, lovely, charming, enchanting; there’s no end to their virtues.

Even when they’re in the prickliest of predicaments, they’re certain to cheerfully assuring each other that they were splendid.

Sometimes they dress up in pretty dresses together and Hildi calls Fyf a ’handsome sir’ and Fyf calls Hildi ’lovely’ and ’enchanting’, or sometimes the other way around :)

Dunno if these went through, but these lines were supposed to be tiny hints that Castoria's home situation was... not good. She's a light sleeper because it's dangerous to sleep heavily. She never went to the theater despite cherishing a copy of a Midsummer's night dream because she wasn't really allowed any form of entertainment. Stuff like this.

And of course the way less subtle "she's scrawny because they literally starved her."

In canon she's named Caster because the fairies of Tintagel just didn't give a shit about calling her by her actual name, but I figured the closest equivalent for a modern au would be Caster as in. Witch. Alienation and all that.
