College Sorority Experience
Published by Running Late with Reina
Found some old pictures from my time as an RA in Chapman hall back at Ferrum. Boy those were the days.
So these are no where near expert level photos, and they don’t do the view justice. What you’re looking at is my alma mater and the countryside surrounding; Ferrum College. The first picture is taken from a football coach’s house looking in the direction of Ferrum Mountain. The second is from a back road going towards the school, and the third is taken out of Chapman Halls bathroom window. It’s been just under four years since I graduated but for some reason this fall I feel home sick for the people and places.
Dream 7/24/19
All of us moved to Brooklyn. It was broad day light. The apartment I lived in was tiny. It was narrow with low ceilings. It had a small window which I could see the Manhattan skyline (which was really the Philly skyline). The walls were the same white concrete that West Chester U and Ferrum’s dorms were made up of. There was one bunk bed that the boys and I were to share. Dawn had moved too. She originally was going to to live with us, as my wife. But, she Chrissi and Liam all moved into a much bigger apartment. I could hear them talking on my phone without them realizing it. All I could hear was Dawn talking, but she was laughing. Having a good time. I was sad. My father lived in the apartment next door which was much much bigger. The boys were spending their time in his place. I remember sitting on the terrible single bed mattress on the bottom bunk and hating my life. I also remember walking down a street with many other pedestrians. It was was bright out.
I enrolled. I am officially a Panther.
Why Identifying The Worst Colleges In America May Be Problematic
Hello. While discovering Ferrum College during a little college search, I kind of started getting really interested in the school. So, I Tumblr searched it to see if any current students had anything to say about it. That's what brings me to you! I Was wondering if you could tell me your opinion of the school and does the school push religion? Like, do they make you take religious classes, attend church and etc?
OF COURSE! Ha sorry,
I love Ferrum honestly. It has been my home for the past three years. When I came home my freshman year I was “homesick” and ready to go back to Ferrum. That being said this past summer I got an internship on campus and worked here all summer. I learned a lot and made friends with all the staff. Who by the way are amazing people and try their hardest to get to know you and make sure you are okay. We have small class sizes even in our core classes that everyone needs. Religion is not forced at all. In the years I have been here I’ve only seen or done anything religious two or three times and they were praying over a group meal when we had conferences. You have to take a religious or bible based course, but it isn’t about the religion. You look at the bible as a book to inspect and dissect. They offer religion though if that is what you are into, but not just methodist churches, you can find any type of church you are into or not into if you just want to try something new. The biggest thing that I have learned from Ferrum though is Ferrum, and honestly every school you are going to attend, it is what you make it. Ferrum became a home for me, I made life long friendships and found two friends I would never be able to live without. I have made bonds with teachers who push me towards success and do everything in their power to help me reach the goals I want. Simply if you are willing to work, if you’re willing to treat college as a growing learning experience and come to Ferrum because you want to then yes you’ll love it. Ferrum is a beautiful amazing place and the best decision of my life…..
Sorry If this was more of a response than you were looking for. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Some clubs and organizations I am are

Hope this helped!
