Knees drawn to their chest cuddled up in bed, sobbing into their pillow

Curled up on the kitchen floor, horribly ashamed by what happened and not wanting to be seen by anyone

Spooned by caretaker, who holds them by their waist and whispers sweet words of comfort and reassurance into their ear

In their holding cell, left trembling and wounded from whatever whumper did to them
