I hate internal monologues as voiceovers but for El I think it would work. Like in a creepy way a la Joe from YOU (lol). Opening scene would be Orion saving her from the monster and her bitching internally after kicking him out

Adapting the Scholomance visually would be Such a Trip!!! Cuz it's half-reality, half wishful thinking, and sometimes it will fuck with time and space

Idk in terms of color scheme I would just love black/dark grey stonework to really drive home that this is a high school in a Dark Void filled with monsters that want to eat you

(So like. High school.)

I haaaate the idea of a tv series shorter than 6 episodes (british tv makes me insane sometimes) but A Deadly Education is so fast paced that I would want to do a tight six and sacrifice some ep runtime

El and Orion's "fake dating but he doesn't know we're fake dating" vs "actually dating but she doesn't realize it's not fake" NONSENSE would be very fun, just lots of Orion being a sweet (for him) attentive boyfriend and El's voiceover like "does he really not know people think we're together when he acts like that??" A lot of show on Orion's part, a lot of tell on El's

El versus her evil destiny: she's not a sharer in book 1 so idk if i'd hold off on revealing her great-grandmother's prophecy or do little flashbacks here and there showing her life growing up in the commune?

I need to read this book a couple more times to plot it out ep-by-ep

I feel this. I was torn whether to post the fic I wrote before her latest nonsense because it feels a little gross to engage in the fandom

yeah like over the past few years i was able to subscribe to the whole ‘death of the author’ thing but now i don’t think it works anymore (at least for me) which sucks because i really do like writing for them

18. A memorable meal this year?

hmm maybe an average dinner at this average pub near me that was awesome because my soccer team had just won the grand final. also my fav donut place does caramilk donuts now. counts as meal because i want it to.

lifting weights is great for depression

24. Did you keep any New Year’s Resolutions?

yes! i did really well at uni, have been eating healthy and exercising regularly all year and those were my main ones :)
