Die ZEIT berichtet, dass man in der Essener SPD seit Jahren darüber Bescheid gewusst hat, dass Petra Hinz ihre Bildungskarriere frei erfunden und eben einmal behauptet hat, sie habe ein Abitur, Jura studiert und das entsprechende Studium mit beiden Staatsexamen abgeschlossen. Derartige Lügen und Versuche, sich Vorteile zu verschaffen, regen die Genossen in Essen nicht weiter auf.
