OKAY OkAY so,,,, in @jamiiton ’s fic called cause your my favorite hue, Jefferson told Alex that he cheated on Martha when they were married she found out the day she died and like earlier in the story when he went to John’s grave to ask for his blessing he felt like an idiot bc he wasn’t really expecting an answer so I was li k e what iF, back when Martha died he tried to speak to her to see if he could get some kind of sign or something but he didn’t get one bc when Martha found out he cheated she was livid and heartbroken so she didn’t talk to him and then when she died and he visited her, she still held her grudge and refused to communicate with him bc she wanted him to feel her pain (idk if this made sense its really late here I’m sorry)
