Pink food souls
Day 7
The other teams consist of Taiyaki, Dorayaki, Sushi, and Sashimi - Sakuramochi, Crepe, and Macaroon. The other teams are mostly used for deliveries.
Imagine coming home from the Amagi ruins of the Northern Kingdom, leading your band of loyal warriors, healers, mages, and shields. They beam, victorious, chanting a little ditty about how Team Three is the best team, as they haul a large, ornate, horned tresure chest along with them. Yet, your mind is still on deliveries, your restaurant, and the Food Souls left at home.
It's twilight. This means nightshift at the restaurant, your mind wanders, and Sandwitch and Pudding are manning the floor while Ume cooks...
Your eyes dart back to the treasure chest, Doryaki on one side Orange Juice on the other, and inside, valuable fruits and spices. You had been disappointed with your pull of the latter, at first, but now the gears in the back of your head start turning.
You get back to the restaurant, passing Gingerbread at her post by the door, and make your way to the kitchen to help Ume and Team Three unpacks their prises. It's faster than usual— you only managed to find one type of seasoning, and it was rock sugar. And you were using it right away.
With some kitchen twine, two mason jars, red food coloring, and some water, you rigged up a contraption that looked like it'd win a red ribbon at a science fair. You disolve the rock sugar evenly in jars of matching liquid, and having tied twine across the jars' mouths, dangled a sugar-soaked cords into the abyss. You tap Ume on the shoulder, motion to the little project, and leave.
Your team, by now, had gone upstairs to the building's living quarters, so you joined them. Some of the smaller Food Souls in your care, the ones who usually tackle delivery duty, crowded around the elders, asking about the ancient crumbling fortress. A couple of the younger ones, upon seeing you, ran over to say hello and rope you into a game before bedtime. Namely, the newly off-the-clock Hawthorn Ball and Macaroon.
"I actually have something more fun than a game," you announce to them, visibly piquing their interest. "I have souvenirs."
The girls look at each other, gasp, and cry out "Presents~!!"
You motion for the other Food Souls to come down to the kitchen with you, and everyone gets a midnight snack of the fresh soul fruit and the leftovers from the day's deliveries. It warms your heart, watching everyone sit (or stand around) together at the end of the day, having a meal, palling around, and carrying on. But that's not why you're here. You don't let yourself get distracted.
With a gesture, you lead Macaroon and Hawthorn to a far countertop where, by the grace of food magic and Ume's inhuman skill as a chef, sugar rocks have reformed. But now they were pink. You slide skewers through the twine around which the rocks had collected, and crouch down, eye-level with the kids. "This," you explain, "is a trick I learned from my grandmother." You produce the pink stalagmites of sparkling sugar, sweet crystals jutting out from every side.
Hawthorn and Macaroon's eyes go wide, and they snatch up the little gifts before blurting out a trained "Thank you, Master Attendant!"
"It's called rock candy," you begin explaining, watching as they enthusiastically but cautiously approach the treats from different angles, trying to figure out how to eat something so pointy. When they settle on sticking them in their mouths like dum-dums, you conclude, "I could show you how to make them, if you like."
So until bedtime, you're re-tying twine, disolving more sugar, helping search for this or that extract, and trying to explain chemistry though it falls on deaf ears, all between an excited Hawthorn and Macaroon. None of the rock candy gets sold; they take a week or so to finish off naturally, and besides, they were Macaroon's and Hawthorn's. The two would run to the kitchen together whenever they had time off together, and on their little kitchen stools, check and see how their rock candies were coming along.
One day, when you were returning home from a fairly profitable sweep for shitake mushrooms, Macaroon and Hawthorn run out and grab you by your arms and coat tails, nearly making you drop your provisions, clamoring about something you can't make out when startled, and drag you into the kitchen. The candies were finally ready.
With your help skewering, plating, and carying the serving dish, the two girls proudly presented their latest culinary achievement. There were lemon yellows, cherry-vanilla pinks, pomegranate purples, almond cyans (Macaroon was responsible for those), a whole rainbow array of candies the two girls giddily gave out to the elder Food Souls. It was the pinnacle of the evening. Even Yellow Wine came back for morem and patted them on the head each time.
You made a mental note to collect eggs and flour for cake, come morning. These sweet-loving sweets were going to lose their minds when you introduced them to sculpting marzipan.
My little gay heart needs this, so could I request Black Tea x Master Attendant? (Specifically small and fem! but it's ok if you don't include either of those). If not, can I have Crepe X Macaroon? Danke!
Gosh, you’ve probably been waiting a long time for this! I recall seeing a similar request answered by @restaurantimagines so to not say the same things, I’ll tackle on Crepe X Macaroon ^^ I hope this satisfies your valid little gay heart!
They were legit girlfriends from the start. Bold Macaroon probably saw Crepe for the first time and was like, “Hi, I’m Macaroon! You’re really pretty… Do you like girls?” and it caught Crepe off guard. She then decided Macaroon was the one on the spot.
Crepe and Macaroon are serious fashionista gfs. Crepe’s the first to know about all the trends (and as time goes on Macaroon becomes the first, so she can surprise Crepe with presents). They spend a bunch of their time poring over magazines together, lying on the floor.
They obviously enjoy shopping, along with doing each other’s hair and painting each other’s nails. Though they may have different fashion tastes, they’re always supportive, and keep tabs on when a dress’s price is cut, so they could be the first in line.
They share an interest in pop music, and enjoy singing and dancing (off-tune) throughout the night.
For Valentine’s Day (their favorite holiday to celebrate), Crepe’s very traditional and makes one of those lock-in-heart photo necklaces for Macaroon, as well as a really mushy card. Macaroon shares her a playlist of all the songs that remind her of Crepe.
Their shared room is painted entirely in pink, and the walls are covered with all the cute selfies they took together. Five photos are added every week.
Crepe calls Macaroon ‘my sweet’ while Macaroon nicknames her 'Pe Pe,’ an inside joke because she keeps mispronouncing her name.
Everybody just sighs whenever Macaroon reunites with Crepe after being away for 2 mins. Macaroon likes to charge at Crepe at full speed and hug her! Crepe is a bit more subtle and gives her kisses on the cheek.
They’re never seen without each other, and they’re never seen without holding hands. While Crepe is reserved, Macaroon’s big on PDA. She wants to let everyone know just how happy she is with Crepe! Somehow Crepe doesn’t mind– she enjoys feeling doted on by Macaroon.

Sandwich is best boy and Macaroon is best girl and you can't deny that
Hey guess who had another food fantasy related dream! But anyway here it is :
Me and Macaron were at my school and for some bizarre reason we agreed that if we saw each other at the same time in the same area then we would initiate a fight. We could never find each other because we were constantly moving amd eventually Macaron came up to me and said “Master Attendant, I don’t wanna fight you anymore! I wanna hang out!” And I’m just like okay cool. So we hung out and I woke up.
