For the apocalypse prompt, does it have to be sci-fi/technology or can it be any type of apocalypse?

You can do whatever you want forever~ But no, seriously, any type is fine. The actual fills don't have to follow the theme of the lists - some sci-fi concepts fit just fine into other themes, though obviously some would be harder!

I'm a little confused. 😭 "Fandom-free" with a hyphen would mean it has nothing to do with fandom, so are we supposed to submit original works? Because it looks like that isn't the case but then it doesn't make any sense grammatically. 😶

It's fandom-free in the sense that it isn't tied to any one fandom. But anything can be submitted - fanworks, original works, art, songs, you name it. You can create whatever you want. 🥰

Sorry, sorry, just to make this clear for myself because my brain is a little fuzzy: do we pick from any sheet, or only one sheet? And we don’t have to sign up, we can just go for it?

No sign up! Simply download one of the annual cards with the months on. Every month we'll release prompt sheets across 7 categories (5 sfw, 2 NSFW), and you pick a single prompt, or more if you'd like, from any sheet or any combination of sheets.

Example: You could pick, let's say, five prompts for January. You could have 5 lyric prompts, or 2 lyric, 1 whump, 1 quote, and 1 fluff, etc.

But you know - any number of prompts you want, from any sheet or sheets.

But also, we're not gonna chase anyone down who does it "wrong", as a note. If somebody decides to fill in their entire card with prompts from May, they can, even if it's not the aim we intended! The point is to have fun and create, whatever that looks like for you. ♥️

Question - for the prompt "Are you stealing my sweaters", can sweaters be traded for sweatshirts?

Absolutely! It can be anything - you can use prompts as strictly or as loosely as you like ^-^

The cards that you fill in? Yup! They're based on the Editions we've had over the years (a second batch is coming soon). We wanted to give folks a number of options to choose from, but yeah, they're entirely just design details, absolutely irrelevant to any of the prompts (outside of any coincidence down the line). ^.^
