Sometimes I'm overcome with neurosis. Love takes the innocence in me and turns me into a woman that I barely recognize. I do not want to be possessive but my heart is still wounded from the past and some days I'm more wound than woman. I think too much and start aching—I haven't mastered how to let it all go. I am still learning how to be a good lover; sometimes I am so damn selfish and I create problems when there should be none. I wish I wasn't so damn sensitive; that I could be wholesome and happy and wonderful and lifted and healed completely by love but lately I've been clinging to the damaged parts of myself and I'm so irritated that I can't see past my own brokenness that I'm breaking the best thing that I've ever held.
