My da world state losers plus some of their gear! Info on items under read more xx
Ffion:
Ribbon: Matching w/ Morrigan. Braiding her hair becomes part of their usual routines.
Ring: The Morriwarden™️ ring. Kept on a necklace for safe keeping.
Pendent: A year or two post-witch hunt, Ffion knocks the warden symbol off his armour. Baby Kieran gets his little baby hands onto it and neither Ffion or Morrigan can seperate him from it. Eventually they turn it into a pendent for him to wear and it's what he's wearing in DAI. (let's ignore that the scale doesn't make sense xx)
Starfang (greatsword): Ffion's greatest love other than Morrigan, Kieran and his dog Bluey.
Fang: Ffion gives the dagger to Morrigan after the ritual, hoping that if she really does leave, she can use it to protect herself. Eventually, it is passed onto Kieran, Adaia's legacy living on 🙂↕️
Armour: Since Ffion was the last recruit to arrive to Ostagar his original warden armour was made up of second hand pieces that didn't fit him. Over the course of the game he replaces pieces and what's left of the warden uniform grows discoloured.
Hawke:
Eyepatch: Hawke's right eye is injured in the Arishok fight. The eye is still there but they can hardly see out of it and the muscle around the eyelid and brow have collapsed. (ps edit I did of this, tw for eye injury discussion)
Lute: If Hawke existed in a dnd/similar rpg universe, he would be a bard instead of a rogue. Sadly for them, they just have to contend with being a self-taught lutist. He's pretty good and his singing equally good, songwriting skills are less so. Hawke loves the idea of being a hero and most of the songs they learn are romantic tales of Robin Hood types. Unfortunately, Hawke would be the type to “here’s wonderwall” his love interests. It gives Isabela the ick, Merrill thinks it’s sweet, Anders likes it but gives pointers on the writing, Fenris genuinely enjoys it.
Bard's Honour & Fiona (axes): Hawke isn't that great of a fighter, at least one-on-one. They rely on getting cheap shots on enemies while they're distracted by other fighters. (read the codexes for these weapons for the first time when I drew these. How tf does Hawke have these.)
Snack for princess the dog: Self explanatory.
Ira:
Pomander: Ira is a dreamer so he relies on the spices in this pomander to help prevent slipping into the fade accidentally. This DIY cologne leads to Varric giving him the nickname: gingersnap
Sending Crystal: The dorianmancer Sending Crystal™️ Dorian gives Ira the sending crystal despite the status of their relationship being uncertain. In the era between Trespasser and Veilguard where Ira disappears, Dorian will occasionally reach out, unsure if Ira still has it. During the events of Veilguard, Ira does start to talk back after he (kinda) works things out with Dorian.
Journal: For tracking dreams and documenting plants. Mainly documenting plants.
Fade-knocker (staff): Ira is from the mountainous regions of the free marches. The blades in hi sstaff double as self-defence and climbing/keeping balance. His Keeper's/Mother's staff was recovered but he feels he has no right to wield it.
Token: Carved symbol of Elgar'nan. The Keeper previous to Deshanna had this carved for him after Ira’s magic emerged. It’s serves as a reminder of his duty to the clan and the Dalish.
Carving of Fen'harel: Ira would place this by his tent on his travels. After Trespasser, he throws it away.
Mikhal:
Notebook: Written in qunlat, Mikhal mainly keeps notes on his ongoing weapon-crafting and trapmaking projects. He also keeps dot points on current events. The first few notebooks are previous archives; containing all he can remember of Par Vollen and the Qun. Mikhal can't sleep if he doesn’t read over these.
Pipe: Close to the real-world midwakh pipe. Mikhal “only smokes when he’s stressed” and “he can quit anytime”. Mikhal and Neve often share a smoko. (I know that Neve’s pipe is actually a pen but I’m not gonna let go of pipe-smoker Neve. Like come on, she’s a noir detective.)
Horn Balm: A gift from Lucanis, gifted after he overhears Mikhal complaining about running out. It was picked from the body of a rebel antaam soldier. Once they get together, Lucanis rubbing the balm into Mikhal’s horns become part of their nighttime routine.
Multi-tool (Asala): Mikhal is never seen without this. Handy for many things! Won't tell you where he got it from.
Grass Blade (Sabres) and Veil's Edge (Recurve): All of Mikhal's weapons are modified by him. His Veil's Edge was a relic from Arlathan that he'd adjusted to suit his height as well as other preferences (less magical, more practical). One of many arguments he has with Strife.
Horn Weights: a strap of leather with weights attached. Mikhal can't afford to get a fake horn installed; he hopes to grow the horn back fully anyway.
