Kace was right when he thought this night wouldn’t get any better, but he never thought it would get this bad. This was horror movie shit, and this didn’t happen on a school campus. But as his eyes slid open and he shifted, this action was met with two immediate things; Pain, and the sound of another person. Kace groaned as his eyes fell to his legs and he gasped as he noticed his legs in cased within a bladed and razor trap. Kace shifted again, testing the leeway of the blades, and he couldn’t even move an inch before the sharp pain hit him. He tried to pull the device away from his body, but it was to no avail. The person have awoken because they were moving too. Kace opened his mouth to talk to them, but nothing came out, instead his throat tightened and he began to cough. As if on queue a Jigsaw rip off voice started to play from within the room.
“Each of you have demons you are harboring, trying to keep locked away. Each of you have been exposed to a deadly nerve toxin for the past thirty minutes. You have another hour and a half between the toxin corrupts every inch of your body, and you will drown in your own bodily fluids. There are, however, several anecdotes hidden within the maze. And finally, check your phones. I have special messages for each of you.”
Kace stiffened at the mention of his so called demons. He needed to escape with trap, and then he needed to find that antidote. What if Braelynn was here? He needed to search every room to ensure her safety. After a few moments, the voice spoke again, this time addressing him and the person to his back.
“Inside the acid is the key to your chains. In order to free yourselves, one of you must reach inside for the key. Once the chains are unlocked, the razors will retract and you will be free to go. If you don’t act soon enough, the key will be disintegrated by the acid, and you will bleed to death. It’s only a matter of time before the major artery in your leg is severed, so don’t waste any time”
His eyes snapped to the bowl as they spoke, inside the key sat, and Kace took notice that it was bubbling, disintegrating, just like the voice said. He looked back at his legs and then twisted as much as he could, within causing too much pain, he was trying to see the person behidn him, “Who--” He paused, “Are you okay? Do you know what’s going on?” He said, trying to remain calm, but everything was coming out quickly, and panicked.
