Parallels of FFVIII and FF Versus XIII

I may be overthinking here but yesterday I watched a trailer of how Noctis met Stella where they talked about a light they were seeing and the legend about the goddess of death Etro.

Judging by the clothes, I assume it was a formal or festive ocasion and this scene made me realize something. This scene is similiar to the ballroom scene in FFVIII!

Close up of the night sky where both of them look at it happens multiple times in the trailer.

Even Stellas dress in color and form made me think about Rinoas dress a bit. Rinoa is wearing a neck holder dress that has a lighter colored trim around the edges just like stellas top does here.

Rinoas dress is more simple in its design (just typical for FFVIII) while the outfits for Stella and Noctis have waaaaaaaaay more details.

Also the parallel of the outfit colors of white/creme and black with the female and male lead.

I think I am suffering from FFVIII syndrome because that game is all I see and think about.
