Anyone from my FFXV-writing era here? I was reading some FFXV and had a plot bunny that involves Stella (my star girl deserves to shine more).
Plot bunny in question:
Post-canon, Noctis and Luna reunite in the beyond (don't have the wedding though because they don't want to rush) and meet with their family and friends who died over the course of the XV canon in general.
They also explore the afterlife which looks a lot like the living realm.
Eventually they run into Ardyn and Aera. Things are tense for a while but they let it be water under the bridge.
Meanwhile, Somnus is not showing his face to his brother and descendants because he feels guilty for playing a part in their misery. He isn't alone though as he is surrounded by characters that were scrapped during FFXV's development i.e. Stella, Umbra and Pryna's human forms and Gentiana whose visage Shiva used as disguise to roam Eos. He jokingly calls their company "those erased from existence by Bahamut."
Some time after the reunions, Noct starts having weird feeling like something (or rather someone, not that he knows) is missing. Luna agrees to help him.
Their investigations lead them to the part of the afterlife where it's nothing but ruins, eeirly similar to Lucis and Tenebrae.
They stumble into Stella by accident and she explains that this part of the afterlife is where things that were never supposed to exist end up.
Feeling like he knows Stella from somewhere, Noct starts spending time with her.
Stella is reluctant in contrast because she is forgotten part of Noctis' life and is intruding on his and Luna's love (which is how she and Somnus bonded in the first place).
Luna doesn't mind those meetings because by that point, she and Noct figured out that they purely platonic, and is happy with Nyx.
The more Noct meets with Stella, the more he falls for her.
Eventually, the memories come back and it's revealed that Stella and her friends and their old version of the world — aka Versus XIII — was erased by Bahamut because they didn't fit with his plan with the prophecy and all that jazz.
Noct is understandably pissed, but Stella convinces him not to do anything reckless and enjoy peace together.
Later, he introduces Stella to the rest of the gang. Nox Fleurets accept her as family while Stella knocks sense into Somnus. The brothers reconcile, all is well.
That is the rough outline. Thoughts?
