The All Saint’s Wake Carnival was everything I knew it would be. Now I have no regrets about waking up Nal at the crack of dawn and telling her I wanted to enter this contest. We got to live the dream by dressing up as some of my favorite ninjas from.... from you know, those really popular Doman Visual Novels everyone loves. I’m not the only one, right? At least I didn’t think so. A lot of folks recognized us which made it ten times better.
But, myself and Nal weren’t enough. I was lucky to recruit a random Keeper I found in Ul’dah the day before the Carnival. Let’s just say I took something of hers to ensure they played the part. But, it didn’t really seem needed as they took the show on their own. Way to go, ‘Karuto’. I really owe you one. And a new pair of pants.
Nal made the perfect Snail Princess, though its a good thing I didn’t tell her that name beforehand. I think it would have made her less likely to join in on this shindig. But come on, she has the perfect ass....ets, for the role. Really no denying that.
Watching the Costume Contest and getting our drawing from the amazing...Aegir? Were definitely the highlights of the night. Oh, and seeing Aedwen high out of her mind. The jackass. She recognized Nal and not me. Could she not tell we both dyed our hair? Hopefully Yisu was able to reign her in, but if not...well, not my problem.
I’m beyond excited we won the Group Stage during the Costume contest. Not saying I’m a little competitive, but...
