Find Us Alive follows the strange developments at Site-107, a small Foundation research site trapped inside dimensional anomaly SCP-6320, as narrated by the site’s radio operator, Dr. Harley.

This podcast is based on the infamous internet mythos of the SCP Foundation, but you don't have to be familiar with any of that backstory to jump in here, as the show sets everything up fresh. Told in semi-found audio format, the story follows a small, core group of voiced characters as they navigate the challenges of living in a pocket dimension with very little hope of rescue surrounded by several dozen coworkers. It's a long-running show that covers a lot of ground: science fiction scenarios, interpersonal conflicts, trust and betrayal, trauma and camaraderie. The tone is very lighthearted for the most part, sometimes bordering on slapstick, but it knows when to turn up the drama.

Perfect if you're looking to bite into a longer show that knows how to balance humor and drama, and/or a found family story where everyone is actually allowed to be messy from time to time and still deeply care for each other.

Behind the doors of 221B Baker Street, the greatest detective of all time and his loyal doctor friend solve some of the most befuddling, prestigious, glamorous, and exciting cases the public has ever seen, turning themselves into legends in the process.

Across the street and slightly to the left, behind the doors of 224B, lives another pair of detectives, waiting for their chance in the spotlight. And when Holmes and Watson leave town on a case, and a woman shows up at their doorstep in dire straits, that very chance appears…

Like the offical blurb says, Fawx and Stallion are a trio of detectives (there are two Stallions!) who live across from Sherlock Holmes and feel completely overshadowed. This is in part because they're just not very good detectives and have never solved a case! There's a strong emphasis on shenanigan comedy but also genuine character interactions. It's very cute to see the intersection with the familiar canon elements.

Perfect if your interest is piqued by "Sherlock Holmes, if everyone was a gay disaster."

World Gone Wrong

Malik and Jamie were roommates when the world ended. Now separated by half the country, literal acid rain, werewolves, aliens, and more, they start a chat podcast to stay in touch and work through the increasing uncertainty of their new apocalyptic reality. Each episode, Malik & Jamie will tackle topics like: should I change my office hours to accommodate vampire students? What if the body snatcher that took over my ex is nice? When did the kudzu start humming like that? Malik & Jamie will try to help!

A podcast within a podcast about the end of the world. The two hosts banter about the various (and numerous!) paranormal and existential crises taking place. Some are framed as listener questions, some general musings. It's swiftly paced and funny, tackling familiar horror tropes from new and sometimes silly angles, but it IS still the apocalypse. Jamie and Malik frequently check in with each other more earnestly, touching on themes of trauma and coping. I have not listened far enough to know if there's a genuine overplot, but there's plenty of emotional continuity.

Perfect if you're looking for something funny and irreverent, but also threaded with genuine sincerity and catharsis.

This is one of those classic podcasts that gets rec'd a lot for good reason - it's just a whole lot of fun! Well written, heartfelt, full of antics. This is what the word "shenanigans" was made for.

Perfect if you're looking for a charming feud with lots of quirky, lovable characters getting into trouble.

A modern, snappy who-dun-it mystery. The show features a full, talented cast, as protagonist Quinn and various others investigate her sister's murder. The intersection of the in universe True Crime machine with the shenanigans is especially intereseting if you've listen/watched in that genre. Quirky and raunchy in places, not something you'll want to have on at work without headphones!

Perfect if you're hankering for a quickly paced murder mystery with a sense of humor.
