Laurinah Headcanons (Laurinah)
Surprisingly, Lauren takes the cake on who is the messier one in their relationship. When they share hotel rooms, Lauren’s clothes are tossed around the room messily, and it resembles the TV norm of what a typically teenager’s room looks like.
Dinah doesn’t mind, though. She’d never been one for neatness, and she liked the way Lauren’s clothes smelled. It filled the room with her lavender smelling detergent and her vanilla body spray, which Dinah had grown addicted to.
Though Lauren was the messier one, doesn’t mean that Dinah wasn’t messy, and together their room looked like a tornado hit it within the first few hours of arriving at the hotel. Neither girl minded, though. It gave them a sense of togetherness…and it prevented the other girls from wanting to come spend time in their room which meant they got all the alone time they wanted.
Who does the grocery shopping?
When they finally moved into their own apartment separate from the other three girls, Lauren decided to pick up the grueling task of shopping for her rather hungry girlfriend. Usually she’s ask Normani or Ally to go with her to keep her company, but on special occasions Dinah would offer to tag along with her girlfriend to the super market.
Shopping with Dinah was like shopping with a five-year-old that just got home from a birthday party. She’d place everything she saw in the basket claiming that she had to have it, but Lauren placed it back on the shelf the second the younger girl bounded away excitedly to grab another item.
Returning home was always the least fun when she had to deal with a pouty Dinah who’d realized that all the sugar-filled items she’d placed in the basket hadn’t been bought.
“Baby! Where are all my goodies?” Dinah whined, grimacing at the bag of carrots Lauren had just handed her.
“They’re at the store where they belong, Dinah. You aren’t a child. You don’t need all that sugar.”
The pout would remain on Dinah’s face all day until Lauren pulls her into the bedroom and turns the frown into something completely different with her own mouth.
Who falls asleep with the TV on?
Dinah had tons of reality shows that she loved to watch that came on just about every night, and she insisted on watching them every time they came on. Lauren, who doesn’t really watch TV very much, opts to grab the current book she’d reading and cuddles up to Dinah on the couch while she watches her show. More often than not, Lauren looks up to see the episode almost over and Dinah snoring loudly.
Who excitedly shows YouTube videos to the other one?
Lauren swears that if she sees one more video of Beyonce kissing a fans cheek she’d scream. Not to mention the quality of the video was shaky and loud screams were heard throughout the entire thing, but looking at the joy in Dinah’s was enough to watch every single on.
“Lauren, look!” Dinah cheered. She’d seen her girlfriend staring at her out of the corner of her eye, and she didn’t understand how she could miss what her Queen was doing on the screen. She quickly paused the video and looked at Lauren. “Lo, you’re missing it.”
Lauren giggled and leaned forward to capture Dinah’s lips with her own for a second before pulling away and looked back at the computer screen. “Okay, show me.”
Who takes more pictures of the other?
While more selfies of them together filled Dinah’s camera roll on her phone, Lauren was the one who had managed to capture every moment she’d found cute or hilarious that her girlfriend had done.
The photos ranged from the time that Lauren was reading in bed and Dinah climbed on her to initiate the best make-out session Lauren had ever been a part of (thank goodness she’d managed to take decent pictures while her eyes were closed and her girlfriend’s tongue was down her throat) to the time that Dinah fell asleep at the restaurant they had went to with the girls (bonus points due to the fact that Dinah’s face was painted with kitty whiskers by the clown the a family had hired for their kids birthday).
Lauren’s favorite picture, though, was the picture she’d taken of Dinah after they’d made love and Dinah had pulled on her t-shirt before laying back down with messy hair and a content smile on her face. Lauren quickly pulled out her phone and snapped a picture.
And it was still her lock screen and homescreen wallpaper to this day.
Who spends more time on their phone?
Lauren wanted nothing more than to chuck Dinah’s phone out the window on most occasions. She liked when Dinah showered her with affection, though she pretended she didn’t, and when she was on her phone she wasn’t do that.
“Dinah, pay attention to me!” Lauren whined, pressing her chest against Dinah’s arm. This was one sure-fire way to get Dinah’s attention.
“Babe, I’m just replying to a few fans on twitter, okay?” Dinah replied distractedly.
“No, it’s not okay. I just want to make-out or something, okay?” Lauren replied in a harsher tone.
Dinah waved her off and continued to type away and Lauren swore she would break that fucking phone one day.
As much as Dinah wanted to turn the air down, she knew that Lauren would kill her if she touched the AC. Lauren was the ruler of how hot and cold the apartment could get ever since Dinah turned their home into a sauna and almost melted Lauren’s abundance of crayons she kept in the guest room.
“Lo, I’m freezing.” Dinah mumbled to the girl she held in her arms as they went to bed that night. Dinah couldn’t even feel her toes anymore, and she was beginning to worry if she’s lose them.
“Too bad. I’m warm.” Lauren murmured sleepily and snuggled into Dinah more.
It wasn’t until Dinah placed her freezing toes on Lauren’s warm leg and the older girl screamed at the feeling that she finally turned the AC down.
If you asked Lauren, she’d say that she was the driver in their relationship, but ever since Dinah received her license, she swore up and down that she was the designated driver. She took the keys from Lauren whenever she got the opportunity to.
It wasn’t that Dinah wasn’t a good driver, because she was, but Lauren didn’t enjoy feeling like she never got a say in who was behind the wheel. Lauren loved to drive, and it was annoying to constantly be driven around like you were a preteen again.
Dinah really just liked the way Lauren looked so serene when she was sitting in the passenger seat, and she didn’t get to see it when Lauren was driving. She enjoyed the way Lauren placed her sunglasses on and laid back in the seat while looking at the passing scenery. It gave Dinah a sense of relaxation, and she’d drive to mars and back in order to see her girlfriend like that.
They both do, but in very different ways.
Lauren, being a natural nose-breather, was the type that let out periodic snores every now and again, and Dinah didn’t mind it was a constantly reminder that Lauren was, in fact, alive. When Lauren was sick and her nose was stuffed, the snores were constant, but still light.
Dinah, however, was the complete opposite. She was the type that snored heavily as they fell deeper and deeper into the realm of sleep. Usually, Lauren wouldn’t notice the snores due to the fact that she fell asleep before Dinah almost every night, but there were certain nights when she didn’t and she wanted to strangle her girlfriend with her pillow.
But Lauren never said anything, because it wasn’t Dinah’s fault. She couldn’t help the fact that she snored louder than the television sometimes, and Lauren could always just put her headphones in. and if she was being honest, Lauren thought it was cute when Dinah snored at times. The way her mouth hangs open and the slight trail of drool that drips out of her mouth makes her look so innocent, and it warmed Lauren’s heart.
If anyone’s cooking in the house, it’s usually Lauren, but neither are really morning people and so they don’t really wake up at the right time to even eat breakfast. Mornings usually start around 11 at their house, and both just opt for a bagel or some cereal.
Lunch is a different story, though. Dinah usually is on her best behavior around lunch time so that she can ask Lauren to cook for her with limited possibility of her saying no.
Lauren doesn’t mind cooking for her girlfriend either. It’s better than risking letting Dinah into the kitchen and ending up with either burnt food, a burned girlfriend, or their apartment setting fire.
They really aren’t a couple that liked to show PDA simply because they didn’t need that kind of attention on themselves. Everywhere they went people had phones which meant there was a possibility of a photo being taken, and neither needed that kind of stress in their lives.
There is, however, one thing that sets off something in either woman that pushed them to throw themselves—jealously.
Whenever Dinah noticed anyone’s eyes lingering on her girlfriend for more than a few seconds, she was quick to throw her arm around Lauren’s waist and pull her into her own body. Depending on how severe the jealousy was there might have been some neck kisses or even a peck, but nothing more intense than that. Dinah knew that Lauren was hers and only hers.
Lauren was a different story.
A girl or guy looking at Dinah sent her into a fit of rage and her normally bright eyes darkened into forest green orbs of anger.
“Dinah, switch seats with me.” Lauren demanded, bumping Dinah’s hips with her own to urge her out of the booth.
“What? Why?” Dinah asked, looking up from the menu at her girlfriend. Normani and Masi who were sitting opposite of them watched with curious eyes.
“That bitch over there keeps staring at you like you’re some kind of food, and I just don’t need to deal with that right now.”
Dinah rolled her eyes and slid out of the booth and let Lauren climb out too before she slid into the window seat. When Lauren slid in beside her, Dinah smirked at her girlfriend’s angry eyes.
“Don’t fucking smirk at me, Hansen. If you ever even glance that way, you’re sleeping on the fucking couch.”
“Yes, ma’am.” Dinah chuckled, looking back at the menu. Her chuckles only got louder when Masi decided to glance at the woman, earning a slap on the arm from Normani.
“Ow! What?” Masi whined, rubbing his arm.
Normani glared at her boyfriend. “Don’t look at her.”
“What? She wasn’t looking at me! She was checking Dinah out.” Masi defended before grabbing his drink and taking a sip, mumbling something about psycho girlfriends under his breath.
Later that evening, when Lauren noticed the girl still glancing over, she pulled Dinah in for a kiss so steamy that it left them both light headed.
“I think Dinah just came in her pants.” Normani laughed.
“Good.” Lauren smirked. “You’re mine Hansen.”
Dinah is the definite horndog in their relationship, but Lauren was the one that usually stated when she was ready for some action.
“Dinah,” Lauren called, looking up from her book. Dinah was on facetime with Camila who was showing her Austin asleep beside her in his bed.
“What, Lo?” Dinah replied not looking up from her phone. She was too busy taking screen shots so that she could post them all over her Instagram and snapchat later on.
Lauren took a deep breath and lulled her head back. “Can we have sex? I’m really in the mood.”
Camila let out a gasp at the words. “Lauren! That’s a private conversation to have to China!”
“Camz, shut up and cuddle with your boyfriend. I need Dinah to take care of a few things.”
“I’ll call you later, Walla. I usually wear Lo out, so I’ll call you when she’s asleep.”
And as Lauren grabbed her hand and pulled her into the bedroom, Dinah couldn’t find a single complaint on her part. Lauren could have her way with her at any time she wanted.
