Redesigned Alma from Horseland since I’ve been watching the show! I had a lot of fun with this one. 

I wanted to do a take of the characters in the future - so older and grown! I imagine Alma had to give up the life style of horse riding / horse care, since it’s typically a lot of money. Don’t worry, Button is still at Horseland and cared for by Bailey! However, Alma just couldn’t provide the fees the hobby cost and as she got older she just got too busy so she was unable to go to Horseland each and every day (which I don’t understand how the kids did, anyways, especially if they had school!). 

Alma works part time as a librarian and is a college student, who is definitely working to become a spokesperson against racism and to provide a future for girls of different races to have the opportunities she had growing up. I thought this was in character for her with her love of books and I do think she’s a strong character! :D

i love figayda and adaine’s friendship with ayda but can we talk about gorgug and ayda’s friendship??? my boy really took the time to call aguefort and fix her relationship with her dad!!! and he did it without looking for recognition--just acted out of sympathy and kindness like gorgug always does. and my girl took one look at gorgug and instead of judging him for be awkward and quiet and keeping to himself she encouraged him to use his smarts! aside from the bit where the rest of the bad kids gave him reassurance (i think in season 1), almost every adult in his life gave gorgug the indication that if he’s a barbarian he can’t also be smart and ayda went ‘that’s fucked up, dude’ and immediately supported gorgug’s efforts to grow as a person. they’re both so awkward and quiet and don’t know how to be friends but they are willing to grow and change if they are wrong and they both just love so deeply i just love them both so much we need more ayda and gorgug content

*SCREAMS INTO THE G**DAMN VOID*

Wine-Auntie story time. Rabbit {the husband} took a shower last night, and had his glasses sitting on the shower caddy {yes, I know}. They got knocked off and one lens fell out...and promptly went irretreivably down the drain.  Called local walmart where we got these glasses. They have his prescription on file. It is 4 days out of date. They will not make a new pair until he comes to see their doctor, and gets new prescription. The doctor does not accept any insurance, it has to all be out of picket. Went to check on providers who DO take the insurance I pay for. The insurance people will not answer questions or list benefits or provide insurance cards...without a member ID number. Which you need to log into their system. To get insurance cards. Which has the member ID number on it. Contacted Central Office Benefit Specialist for the District I work for. She says she doesn’t have the Member ID number for the district and to contact the insurance company. Meanwhile, Rabbit LITERALLY CANNOT SEE.

Only hope now is to head over to the storage unit and check one of the boxes packed away to see if his spare set is in it so that he can function.
