anyway. just thinking about how leiland's "hatred" (/jealousy) of maggie really stemmed from his own self hatred. he didn't just hate her because zaul'nazh chose her, he hated her because he knew (or thought at least) that she deserved to be chosen.

thinking about how leiland could never learn to love maggie until he started learning to love himself, until he learned that zaul'nazh's choice had nothing to do with leiland's "inadequacy" and everything to do with zaul'nazh being an asshole
