Does anyone know where to find a comprehensive list of "cryptids" that are actually Native American spirits? Also is Mothman a cryptid?

Recently I've been looking at this website called native-langauges.org, they describe themselves as a non-profit focused on preserving Native American languages.

I'm not sure how comprehensive the list is, but they have a list of different spirits and spirit stories that I've been looking through one by one.

I feel like that's a decent place to start, that's where I'm starting anyway. Although, I think it only is relevant for Native American cultures.

If anyone has a better resource, ideally authored by Native/ Indegenous people then please share.

Thoughts on The Owl House and Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts? I've seen a few things about those shows pop up on my dash lately (the She-Ra fans are trying to fill the void left by season 5), and I am considering watching them.

I haven't watched The Owl House, but me and my little brother have been watching Kipo and so far, no complaints. I was a bit iffy about the colouring of Kipo's skin, but it makes sense later on.

If any followers want to weigh in, that's be great!

Oh! Re: names in perfumery- I thought you all didn’t answer bc it wasn’t your wheelhouse but I do think your methods would be useful. This brand Byredo has a few perfumes like “gypsy water” and “b’al d’afrique” the second of which is a “love letter to Africa.” I really love them and b’al d’afrique is my sig scent but it seems at least marginally problematic. Is it actually? Or does it fall into the “art can be inspired by many things” category?

G*psy (from now on "the g-slur") is a racist slur against Romani people, so I wouldnt support a brand that profits off blatant racism in this way.

As for 'b'al d'afrique', it honestly sounds fetishising. I don't think this is a case of "art can be inspired by many things", I think this is a racist brand. ~mod ara

BNHA is full of white moms calling themself "Shameless Fujoshi, Queen of Yaoi". "They'd [Patreon] have taken one look at my Twitter page, saw the BNHA yaoi and other yaoi works that I've posted and banned me for "exploiting children" or some shit" this white woman has 3,293 Followers. She has small children but defend creepy stuff there.

The BNHA fandom is fucking wild, but there is a serious issue with adults making NSFW content of the characters who are minors, and yeah, a lot of the times these people call themselves "fujoshi's".

do you guys watch castevania? i liked the first two seasons because it had a diverse range of characters but by the third i realized all the important POC were all villains and its always the POC that undergo brutality like SPOILERS!!! the two new japanese characters turning out to be sexually violent towards alucard while hector, a brown character, is literally treated like a dog and sexually enslaved to a white woman. the poc lesbian couple are also villains like i'm so disappointed

Im obsessed with The Witcher rn, but the show should cast some Latinos next season

Latine Jaskier would have been a good shout, especially because the show made Jaskier more than just a womaniser. They characterised him as someone who just has so much love that he falls in love with anyone.

But yes, hopefully the showrunners feel more confident to hire latines and other PoC actors because despite the racists complaints, the show has done pretty well.
