liv isn't really sure why she is so offended by this notion. it isn't like she doesn't have a long list of people who hate her... so why the thought of alexa slightly disliking her for no real reason shouldn't be a new concept. perhaps it was the idea that she didn't think she had done anything to provoke this. alexa wasn't on her radar for the time being, wasn't a threat to her... so what put liv on her list? it was a question that would probably never have a concrete answer.

❝ honestly, that reason just makes you sound jealous of me... and that is something i am used to. get in line, sister. ❞ where was this projecting coming from? why did she want the approval of someone she rarely crossed path with? so much so that she feels the need to give the other woman a real reason to hate her. maybe it felt easier than putting in the effort to try and prove herself. being less than desirable has gotten her this far. what's one more person?

every failure is an opportunity. chelsea believes that wholeheartedly. she's failed a non-zero ( but still low ! ) number of times in her life, and she always tries to make the best out of it. she catches alexa after everyone else stops congratulating and / or vaguely threatening her for her upcoming money in the bank bid. this is serious stuff -- she can't let other people overhear her! "alexa! you did so good out there. so good, in fact, that i've decided you can be in my cabinet when i'm president again. this is a very serious commitment, but piper and i think you can handle it."

something in the atmosphere stands to attention when she's close. he feels her before he sees her, in that sense, has to straighten his back and watch his mouth just in case things really do go bump in the night. "miss bliss," he greets, smile enough to show his molars, tongue between his canines to show that they're soft right now. "wanted to catch you real quick. not for nothin'," both hands surrender to her, clear he's not expecting favours, "jus' to holler. been a second."

a pause.     her fingers twitched against the strap,     like maybe she was debating walking away,     but didn’t.     ❝ i don’t even know where you stand, ❞     she admitted finally,     turning her head just enough to look at alexa from the corner of her eye.     ❝ you smile at me in catering,     but you haven’t said a word since the blow up with charlotte.     and right now,     silence feels a lot like strategy. ❞     not an accusation,     but not trust,     either.     ❝ so…     go ahead.     say what you came to say. ❞     she didn’t sound angry.     she sounded like someone who wanted to believe in people…     but knew better than to expect much.

Rhea spotted her before @fi6nd even spoke—petite, poised, and dangerous as ever. There was always something unpredictable about her, something that made the hair on Rhea’s arms stand just a little on edge. But this version of Alexa? This post-return energy? It was different. Darker in a way Rhea could respect. She leaned against a crate backstage, arms crossed over her chest as she watched the blonde approach with that sly little smirk playing on her lips. "Well, well… look who’s crawled back out of the shadows," Rhea muttered, a sharp grin tugging at the corner of her mouth. “Was wondering when you'd show your face again.”

The air between them crackled—not with tension, but with something far more intriguing. Recognition. Alexa’s manic edge mirrored something Rhea knew well—the chaos that bubbled beneath the surface, the hunger to unravel expectations and make everyone just a little uncomfortable. “Gotta say, Bliss,” Rhea added, pushing off the crate and stepping a bit closer, voice low and curious. “There’s something fun about having another wildcard back in the mix. Someone the rest of 'em won’t see coming. But I see it. You’ve got something brewing… and I can’t wait to see who you sink your teeth into first."

𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬.    she doesn’t know whose.    maybe that’s the part that scares her most.     not the screams echoing off the walls like hymnals in reverse,     not the sound of steps where there should be silence,     not the way the air feels heavier the longer she stays.     no.     it’s the way she’s starting to feel at home here.     and then there’s her.     alexa.     a ghost from a different chapter,     one liv still hasn’t decided if she wants to close or claw back open with trembling fingers.

❝ this place changes people, ❞     her voice is raspier than normal.     like she’s swallowed ash and speaks in the smoke that’s left behind.     ❝ or maybe it just strips everything else away.     lets you see what’s always been there. ❞     she doesn’t approach right away.     just stands a few feet away,     head cocked slightly,     blonde hair a tangle of chaos down her back,     dark beneath her eyes like she hasn’t slept in years.     maybe she hasn’t.     maybe none of them have.

"why not?" he realises is, in and of itself, a demand - a cry for an answer that he could probably find himself if he looked hard enough. even so, he stomps his foot and waits for the fallout. the miz is and has always been a ridiculous and childish thing by design. a coward and a slinking dog and a vulture all at once, all the while hiding his teeth. how, though, is he meant to bite at shadows? at burlap and history and something rumbling? "you're making demands! a lot of them, actually! can we even the playing field a little here?"
