Do you ever get frustrated with how the Destiel fandom, particularly the fanfic creators are obsessed with this notion of Victim!Cas and how Sam is always the sensible one. Good lord, I’m so frustrated, in one of the fics I read recently, Cas gets attacked and Sam’s the one who explains Dean what do. And I’m like??? This has got to be a joke right. It’s times like these, I consider leaving for good. Sorry for this incoherent ask, just needed to get this off my chest.

I don’t read fic anymore, because I hate the destiel fandom so much and the content they are producing. You have to slog through so much shit to get to something halfway decent that probably has at least one trope you still strongly dislike or is less than 1k long. It got to be too much. I still like what destiel is to me, but no one else seems to be on my same wavelength anymore so fuck it.
But listen, the bar is literally so low right now that maybe you should give writing a chance? You can’t be putting out worse than what is in that tag. I’m scrolling through it right now and I believe in you. Don’t put Sam in your fic and you’re already lightyears ahead of everyone else.

They are trying to foster self love and positivity; they wouldn't insult the person, who, by the way, they call "heroes" and not "victims". Somewhere Karamo is crying and he doesn't know why.

Idk if this is better or worse, but in this fic, his life was actually not that much of a mess even. He had a good job and his own house and I mean sure he wore ripped jeans, but he looks Like That so I don't believe for a second it was working against him. I shouldn't drag every second of the fic that I got through, but I mean honestly... they said he lived in a "small" house, but he had 3 bedrooms, at least 2 bathrooms, a walk in closet, a kitchen big enough for 2 ovens, and wrap around porch. Like?????? Damn wish I could afford that "small" house. I legit just don't know what the writer was thinking. They dragged him for being a typical straight guy before they met him, but like he wasn't??? He'd even been in a relationship with a dude before???
Also Victor wasn't in the fab 5 which is imo a crime. My fab5 right here right now: Victor, Michael, Max, Gadreel, and Dean as Bobby, Tan, Karamo, Jonathan, and Antoni respectively.
