Today's random Fic-Bunny...

Crossover: X F C - & - Atlantis: the Lost Empire. 

Set: 1914. 

XFC meets Jules Verne Steampunk by way of Disney! ^_^ 

Charles is the sweet, well-meaning academic, a Scholar of Ancient Atlantis (or Ancient Genosha?), now chief translator/navigator of the expedition, who inherited an interest from his late father. 

Raven is his childhood friend and Chief Engineer. 

Erik is Commander Lehnsherr, in charge of shooting first and not asking any questions later, and who thinks Charles is a lightweight. 

Emma Frost is the HBIC/femme-fatale Lieutenant. 

Azazel is the former-florist, turned deadpan-snarker & 'blowing-shit-up'-guy.

Hank is Charles' bumbling assistant,

Darwin is Ship's Doctor,

and so on. . . 

Things come to a head when they reach the Lost City and find it already occupied; the party's split as some (Erik) want to steal the Atlantean's energy-source, whatever the cost, and some (eg. Charles) don't.

Basically the opulent submarine doubles for Xavier manor and Charles and Erik still meet up for nightly games of chess only this time there is 100% increased chances of them being attacked by Giant Squid whilst doing so. What's not to like?? ^_^

(Cannot decide if Powered!Au or not but imagine how cool it would be if Erik ended up saving the day by lifting the submarine they're actually inside!)

X F C - crossover - The Bourne Identity. 

(initially hurt/comfort)

Erik wakes up aboard Charles' yacht, with two rubber bullets in his back and no memory of how they got there.

(Charles ends up being the Marie to his Bourne)

Could be an AU where everyone's still a mutant, and Erik's first assassination attempt against Shaw still results in him being dumped in the water, only this time Charles isn't with the C.I.A. but just happens to be passing -- maybe he, like Shaw, is having a mutant shindig aboard his luxury yacht and ends up crashing his own party when he jumps overboard?

(Begs the question, what would Bourne!'verse Shaw be? Maybe he's the head of Treadstone/similar, which is experimenting on mutants to create super-spies for the government, a la Jason Bourne, and Erik happens to have escaped from one of their facilities??)

Erik = 00?, blunt instrument, brilliant yet troublesome agent, murderer, driven by personal vendetta/childhood trauma. 

Is Captured By:

Charles = beautiful but insane, villain, inspires great loyalty in his followers, takes a strange liking to Erik/treats him tenderly, but wants to kill everyone else.

So, before I forget, last night's awesome dream...

...was a James Bond/Harry Potter dream! *_*

I guess you could call it Quidditch Royale (and if I wrote it into a fic, I would) where James was- well, basically a gigantic Gary Stu - including the obligatory 'part-Veela on his mother's side.'

Half-blood, relative of the Potters, orphaned under mysterious circumstances just before he's due to come to Hogwarts (he was, of course, a Gryffindor), and basically like a sociopathic version of Harry since he's old enough to be messed up by his parents' death (making him isolated at school, even though he's ridic-popular). 

ANYWHO.

This James, instead of being physically gifted/a superb shot/poker-player/really good at getting into and out of danger, was this D.A.D.A. prodigy, and a natural Legilimens, and the dream was of him being asked to play for the Gryffindor team and ASTONISHING everyone with how good he is at flying (better than Krum, better than Wronski -- God, the ossified fanfic cliches really were turned up to 11!) and him then ANNIHILATING the opposing team.

He was playing as Seeker, but he was making trouble -- flying close to the bludgers, getting them to latch onto/trail him and then leading them BANG into the other players! And even though he wasn't supposed to be 'in the game' so much (being the Seeker), by the time he'd finished, every single member of the other side had an injury.... ^_^

At the end he caught the Snitch in this totally Bond-like, cool, unbothered, effortless way, landed hard on the pitch and stalked off (throwing the snitch one-handed to the person who was holding the ball-box) before anyone could even get in a cheer. >:-D 

(OH! And the best part? A certain sarcastic/shrimpy/bespectacled Ravenclaw was doing the commentary!! Eee! ^_^) 

Then the second part was James sitting by the fire in Dumbledore's Office (does Dd's office even have a fire? Can't remember- anyway, dream logic, it did) and talking to some mystery-person about his parents' death. He was saying they died in an Avalanche, but then it was like a Hagrid-in-PS moment and the other person went 'an avalanche, kill Andrew and Monique Bond?! Ridiculous!' And it was like a big OH SHIT moment when James realises his parents were murdered and for some reason there's been a cover-up and him doing this ice-cold SUDDEN-NEED-TO-BECOME-AN-AUROR- AND-REVENGE-MYSELF-ON-WHOEVER'S-RESPONSIBLE-FOR-THIS! face. . .  

(Which was all fantastic, but I'm rather annoyed with my brain, now, because I'd quite like to have known who frickin' murdered Warlock!Bond's parents and why! >_< Oh well, fingers crossed for tonight. . . )

Okay, time for Zee Inevitable!Cherik fic-bunny of Zer Night.

Master & Commander AU - Cherik as Aubrey/Maturin. 

Erik is Captain Lehnsherr, confirmed bachelor, terror of the ladies, hammer of the French, Captain of HMS Revenge. 

Charles is the brilliant (pacifist) physician, the captain's particular friend / 'companion', ship's doctor, confidant of the crew, hobbying botanist and secret badass/former spy. 

[OR, Charles is the Capn' Jack character and Erik is the aloof physician?? bit more true-to-character??]

They come together each evening to debate the issues of the day, to break bread, to play chess and their instruments (not a euphemism... but we all know what the navy's like.) 

Leads to Cherik in period dress (or undress) touching down on paradise islands where Charles attempts to convince Erik of the folly of war, plus this ridiculous theory of evolution. 

Cue scenes of buckling swash, derring-do, mainbrace-splicing, sharing hammocks, &/etc. ^_^

*and now I'm realising that if Charles plays Maturin he'd still get friggin' shot except that in this universe Erik would turn the bloody boat around and get him to safety* >_< Ouch... 

Also could contain: 

The 1st Class Kids as the crew! [Sean as a mad Irishman in the crow's nest, Alex as Lord Blakeney, Darwin as a liberated slave, Raven as a crossdressing stowaway/sweet polly oliver, Hank as Charles' bungling apprentice, etc.] 

Cameos from: a mad pirate called Jack Sparrow! a promising young midshipman by the name of Horatio Hornblower!

And today's Cherik fic-bunny is.... *drumroll*

Charles and Erik are Stand-up Comedians...

(No, wait come back! Hear me out!)

So, Erik is the controversial stand-up comedian and political activist [think Bill Hicks]  with a huge cult following, who drinks and chain-smokes on stage. 

Charles is the squeaky-clean intellectual mainstream comedian and family-entertainer who hosts his own beloved TV show. 

Hardbitten Erik ends up pulling a Louis-C.K.-on-Ewan-McGregor routine about this "fuckin' beautiful" star he saw the other day. ^_^

Charles finds out and decides to call his bluff. 

Thus commences an epic game of Gay Chicken...

So... um... whaddya think?

Sterek FicBunny before bedtime...

Futurefic / Dystopia 'verse AU / Supernatural Crossover, via Cormac McCarthy's The Road: 

A couple of years into the future, Stiles and Derek are literally the only ones left alive from the whole Beacon Hills gang; everyone else -- Scott, Lydia, Isaac, Jackson, Danny, everyone -- is dead, even Stiles' dad.

Stiles and Derek have now become Hunters of a sort, eking out a living on the road.

They drive across America in Derek's Camaro -- sleeping in motels, saving people, hunting things, growing close -- and trying to find another pack of werewolves for Derek to join, before the ~real~ hunters get to them first. 

And maybe down the line they meet the Winchesters. . .
