“The boy, Merlin, practices magic,” Aredian revealed. All around the court, eyebrows raised, and jaws dropped, and faces paled. Merlin himself froze in place and slowly turned his gaze to Arthur.
Uther did not even try to contain his reaction; he rolled his eyes. “Oh, please,” he scoffed. “That boy is confessing to sorcery every other day. Find a real sorcerer, Aredian, and not a noble fool of a boy with a death wish and far too many suspicious friends.”
