Let me share my despair: started a fic. Tagged E, pining, slow burn, the good stuff. Tension gets higher and higher, I'm invested. Last chapter comes and goes and they don't do the do (they get close but cliffhanger). But ok, there's a second part, a sequel. Opened the sequel to find out it's actually a prequel and apparently has a darker tone than the first one. And the ship is tagged as "future A/B". 😩😩 Now I don't want to go through their gruesome past to see their happy future.

Tl;Dr I'm frustrated because the fic was tagged E, it wasn't even that violent and they didn't do the horizontal tango. *pouts*

Random Lines

Haven’t played this in a while...here’s a random recently-written line (or short set of lines) from each of the projects I’m currently working on - without context or explanation :)

Baltho pointed the drive shaft at him.  “You should shut up.”  (Now And Then, Book 2 of the Strada Series)

I can’t explain the reason for what happened next, hell I can barely even recall it with much clarity due to all the illicit smoke thickening the air, but if a girl were hard pressed to give a narrative it might start off something like this:  I crossed the room and headrushed Aiden where he stood, grabbing his neck to pull his head down so I could kiss him.   (The Carmichael Addendum)

“I knew I’d have to give you back to your books one day,” he whispered against my cheek.  (Meet Me In Tulsa)

“That’s too bad,” the big man said with a sigh.  “It’s been too long since I had a good reason to kill a motherfucker.”  His look of irritation broke into a sly grin.  “I guess you ain’t it.”  (Untitled new WIP)

There are others being worked on but these are the things I’ve been on most recently.  My schedule is starting to work itself out and the writing is finding places to fall into, so hopefully I’ll be back to it all again soon :)
