fictional character who is incredibly smart but doesnt know how to do basic domestic things: (exists) me:
Finally getting around to doing this. Took me a while because I don’t think I know the answer to half of these.
I’d like to thank @jandjsalmon @strix @ieatbooksfortea for tagging me and basically making me feel like a million bucks.
Fictional characters you relate to?
I relate to Hermione Granger for being socially awkward, and her need to excel in school. I can also relate to her passionate need to defend her friends when they are in trouble. I will do scary things for my friends and loved ones. I am not as smart as she is nor am I as brave, but there are many things about her that make me want to be her.
I can related to Hannah Baker, because I was her once.
Book you can read over and over without getting tired of it?
Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen. The Story Girl, by L.M. Montgomery. All of Louisa May Alcott’s books. The classics, I know. This does not mean I don’t like new books. I do, but I grew up reading the classics for a long time and they are the books that spoke to me in my formative years.
What’s your favourite comfort show/movie?
I think the mere act of watching TV comforts me. There are so many movies in my life that I’ve loved at different times. First thing that comes to mind is Galaxy Quest (this is seriously my all time fave), but also Labyrinth, and for a long time, Star Wars eps. 4, 5, and 6. I also discovered Back to the Future, and the series, to me, was amazing. I will never forget the wonder that was The Matrix, and though it horrified me, Alien gave me Ripley, who continues to be an inspiration (I know, she fought aliens in a ship floating in deep space, so how the hell is she inspiring), because Ripley taught me that a girl can be a badass in that way.
Which fictional character are you most defensive over?
These days? Seriously, Jughead Jones. LOL
Show you fell out of love with?
Supernatural.
Show you’re most excited for?
Well, I’m still always excited about Riverdale, but I am looking forward to Sabrina. I am yet to watch the new season of The Librarians, so I’m excited for that. I’m always looking forward to new Netflix series and new seasons of the shows on it that I love (Daredevil, Anne with an E, Jessica Jones, 13 Reasons Why).
What’s your aesthetic?
I’m not sure I know. I’m definitely kind of a tomboy. I wear blazers over my graphic tees and jeans at work. I have 3 different pairs of converse sneakers to go with that look, but I also love dresses, and boots and chunky 5 inch heels. I drive my car insanely fast. I keep my hair short so that I don’t have to worry about it in the morning. I do MMA. I cook everyday for my family. I have a tattoo and will get another one soon.
I hate wearing dress pants for work.
Favorite fanfic tropes?
I don’t even know how to answer this. Seriously. I have no limits. There are a shit ton of tropes that I love. I can be here all day. I WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO MAKE A SEPARATE POST FOR THIS. STAY TUNED.

Rules: post the last sentence you wrote (fanfic/original/anything!) and tag as many people as there are words in the sentence. NEW, AND BETTER RULES BY ME, WESLEY: 1) Post your favorite short excerpt / paragraph / complete thought, 2) it can be any part you like, 3) it does not have to be fiction 4) it does not have to be in English.
From a piece I wrote a bit ago for Cardhouse and the Cage (original story): He measures out his step like a man on a tightrope, as if each millimeter of displacement were a calculated risk. It is impossible to say whether he is tall or short, only that he is crucial: everything about him, from his high hat to his pointed toes. Snatches of emerald, violet, or crimson accent the contours of a suit made from the dark of mirrors---the colour of illusion---and light glints off the surface of his shoes, his coat-tails, and the cane he carries upside-down in one white-gloved hand, point back, with a gleaming prismatic grip. Beneath the brim of his hat, those assembled can just make out two keen amber eyes, unblinking in a perfect face. -------- @vampiraptor, @thisbackworld, @madtomedgar, @lilac-buttons, @hausofodin, @legolasgoldy, @verymaedhros, uhhh.....actually if you see this post consider yourself tagged (sry if i forgot anyone!) and feel free to respond SHOW ME WAT U GOT (if u want to)

I almost never start with dialogue, lol
I do a lot of in medias res / action starts & catch the reader up in the next paragraph
I tend toward short & punchy, apparently
anyone who wants to play is welcome to play! :)
