Alec and The Chairman
Just a few headcanons about Alec Lightwood and Chairman Meow :)
Magnus is not mad his cat likes Alec more, just passive aggressive about it.
Alec loves the Chairman because Church never really liked him growing up and this cat is just curl up on his lap and hang out with him
Alec also really likes him because he met Magnus at his birthday party.
Chairman Meow likes Alec because he always gives him treats and scratched behind his ears.
One day Jace walks in and Alec is laying on the couch with the cat on his chest.
“what are you doing?” “watching TV with my cat.”
Chairman Meow is trained to walk on a harness and they take him for walks.
One day, Alec is walking the cat by himself because Magnus is with a client.
He gets a call from Jace saying there is an emergency enclave and Alec says he is only 3 minutes away and will be there shortly. He scoops up his cat and goes to the institute.
When he walks in with the cat Maryse just kind of...*sigh*... and Jace, Izzy, Clary and Simon are laughing uncontrollably.
“Why do you have a cat with you?” Maryse asks. “We were going for a walk and I was close to the Institute when Jace called so I figured I would just bring him with me.” “fine”
When Magnus gets home he asks what Alec did today and Alec tells him the “Chairman Meow and I went to an enclave meeting” “...The Chairman went” “yes” “I’m sure he made great points, probably the most reasonable one there.”
