little nano update

So my daughter is sick today. She most likely has a stomach virus, which means that I will very likely be sick soon too (since I always catch what she has). Which means soon I won’t be able to write. Which means I might not be able to finish nano. So today I’m having a “write as much as I can” challenge. I have about 7k left to finish nano. I was going to take it easy and finish on time, but plans change, I guess. 

If anyone wants to like this post, or send me some motivation, that’d be amazing. I’m pretty scared that I’ll get sick and won’t be able to finish nano. I’ve worked so hard. But I’ve never written 7k in one day and I could start feeling sick at any point, so there’s just no knowing if I can do it or not.

Wish me luck, you guys. I’ll keep you updated. I don’t know how much I will write today, but I will just try to write whenever I can.

NaNo Wordcount (Day 8)

Hey guys! As you may have noticed, I didn’t post up a NaNo Wordcount for the last two days and that’s because I was taking a rest day or two. I overworked myself some and had some stressful experiences in the real world which kept me from really getting into my writing, and I almost psyched myself out and quit my novel altogether. However, I really like Apotheosis and I like living (@atlasboundlies I’m looking at  you). 

Anyway! We’re back and in action today, the word count goal is... 13,336. Right now, I’m currently at 10,002! I’m really hoping to get the third episode of Apotheosis out today as well, so stay tuned for that!

Nano day 1

So I’m done with my writing for today. I got 1801 words, so that’s a good start to this challenge. I’m happy with what I’ve done.

I started the day feeling very excited and optimistic that I can reach the 50k goal. It was definitely tough writing so much, and due to my allergies I didn’t get as much sleep as I wanted so I was pretty tired, but I did it. It was definitely not as difficult to achieve as I thought.

I think the rough part about nano isn’t the 1700 words a day, but the fact that you have to write that much consistently over 30 days in a row.

I’m usually not good at sticking with things, so we’ll see. But I’m proud of myself for doing well today.

Nanowrimo day 4

Word count (total): 7497

Word count (today): 1978

Yay I accidentally wrote more than I was going to. I didn’t count the little paragraph that I added to the last chapter, so I thought I had to write more. Now I ended up with a pretty nice word count and I’m happy.

I didn’t write a single word until about 5pm though. I should probably not procrastinate that much in the future. But technically it wasn’t my fault. My mother in law is sick AND we’re having problems with power (there’s a short somewhere and we sometimes don’t have power in part of the house. thankfully the computer I write on isn’t affected). Also, we had to buy a new smoke detector.

But the only important thing is that I still managed to more than reach my daily goal. Also I really enjoyed writing this. I just posted an excerpt, too. Here’s to hoping tomorrow goes well too. My only fear right now is that I’ll burn out soon. But I’m still hopeful.
