Oops I did it again...

Local grocery store was selling variegated rubber trees and these ficus altissima (Asian Council Tree). As far as I know it's related to both the rubber tree (ficus elastica) and the fiddle leaf fig (ficus lyrata). The leaves look very much like rubber tree leaves but are much thinner, more like those of the fiddle leaf fig.

He's currently in quarantine corner because I'm not sure wether the bottom leaves were just really dusty or if he came with spidermites...

You'd never have thought that this Ficus altissima dropped nearly ALL her leaves over the winter. Ad she's my favorite of the varieties, I was...mildly concerned.

So, I just gave her a cut in the spring, and here she is. Back and beautiful. Named her Daenys. Most of my ficus are named after Targaryens, btw. 😁

well it was kind of a “one guard only tells lies and the other only tells the truth” kind of situation but True Ficus accurately deduced that posting on tumblr at all is neither true nor beautiful so he fucked off and reincarnated into a banyan tree and so basically it’s just me now
