((It’s chin-cello time!
I picked up some D’Addario: Helicore Octave strings - they drop your fiddle a whole octave without you needing to modify the instrument at all.
I absolutely love the deeper tones of cello, but I just don’t have the space or money for one, nor the time to try to learn a whole new stringed instrument. So this is the next best thing for me. No, the fiddle doesn’t sound 100% cello - it’s missing the size and depth for it - but I’m having fun stringing my backup fiddle just to mess around with the sound.
Very cool string set!))
I do not need to attempt to learn to play a hardanger violin, I have enough on my plate right now with my normal violin
