Current stim/ comfort box setup
Lots of things that weren't MEANT to be stim toys but Are Now.
Also I bought a textured tangle, so now I have two tangles incase I lose one, and this textured stuff is the best. I might have to order another textured tangle because if I lose this one it will be hard to go back.
I ordered a box fidgets off of Amazon and I'm very pleased with them
Does anyone know where to buy fidget toys /stim toys in europe?
Online shops are okay but shipping from sites like etsy is too expensive for me. If anyone could recommend some sites or shops that would be amazing!
Fidget review #2
Fidget Pad
[Image 1 description: An image of a black and red fidget pad on a wooden desk. This image shows the front side of the fidget pad. The fidget is mainly black, but has red buttons and it has a very curvy shape. On the left part of the fidget, there are 4 circular-shaped buttons. To the right of the buttons, near the top of the fidget, there are 2, slightly rough, cylinder-shaped parts of the fidget that spin. Below it, there’s a similar looking part of the fidget that also spins, but has a different texture. Next to those parts of the fidget is one of the biggest buttons visible in the image. It is a small, red joystick. The small part of the fidget to the right of the joystick is a small, button-like, rectangular-shaped part of the fidget that can be slid around in a narrow hole on the fidget that is not visible in the image.]
[Image 2 description: An image of the same black and red fidget pad on the same wooden desk, but we can now see the back of the fidget. All the way to the left of the fidget is the same small, red button that can be slid through a narrow hole in the fidget that is still not visible in the image. To the right of that part of the fidget is a red circle that spins around when fidgeted with. There is a small, bumpy-looking dot on the top of that part of the fidget that, I assume, is used to make fidgeting with the circle easier. To the right of the circle are the same two, textured buttons that also spin from the previous image. To the right of those buttons, is a red, circular shaped button that, when pressed on, moves and makes a “click” sound.]
This is my review of the fidget pad. Before we begin, I want to say that this is my opinion of this fidget toy. If I don’t like a fidget, that’s my opinion. It’s totally fine if you do like the fidget and I respect that. If I like a fidget and you don’t, that’s ok, too. Again, I respect your opinion.
Now for the review.
I got this fidget from a pack of fidgets on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Fidget-Sensory-Bundle-Anti-Anxiety-Children/dp/B07YWKNPG3/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=pack+of+fidgets&qid=1587164650&sr=8-4
What the fidget is used for/ what I assume it’s for:
It’s a fidget you can play with with your hands. On the fidget, there are a bunch of different buttons to use. Some make a “click” sound. I find the “click” to be a nice sound and sort of calming. Other buttons are silent. Some buttons spin. There is also a part near the side of the fidget that is bumpy and textured. It keeps me busy for a while.
Noise level (zero being silent and ten being very loud):
5/10
This fidget is pretty noisy. Some buttons make noise.
The ones that make noise are two of the four buttons on the front of the fidget, the joystick will make a small “click” noise if you press on it, the button that can be slid around (the one to the right of the joystick) makes noise if you slide it to the end of the narrow line it is attached to and then let go of it, the buttons on the top and on the bottom in between the joystick and four buttons make noise when you spin them. On the back of the fidget, the button all the way to the right can be pressed to make a kind of loud “click” sound.
But there are buttons that are silent, too.
The ones that are silent are two of the four buttons on the front. The joystick part of the fidget is silent unless you press on it. The button that can be slid through a narrow line on the fidget can be quiet when you keep your finger on it and slide it back and forth without letting it go. On the back of the fidget, the big circle that spins near the left of the fidget is also silent.
Things I like about this fidget:
Certain buttons are quiet and can be used without making or making little noise if you don’t want people hearing the fidget.
The fidget is pretty small and can be hidden if you don’t want people to see you fidgeting with it.
This fidget could keep me busy for a long time because of the amount of things to fidget with.
The “click” sound of the buttons make is kind of calming for me.
Things that I don’t like:
Even though I like the “click” sounds, I don’t think others will, so I’m usually only fidgeting with this fidget when I’m alone.
Would I recommend this fidget for school/work and why?
This wouldn’t really be a fidget that I would use at school because despite its small size and the fact that it can be fidgeted with silently, I like hearing the “click” sound some of the buttons make, and I don’t like other people hearing the fidgets I use, so I probably wouldn’t bring it school. But if someone is ok with having a fidget that makes noise and is ok using it around people, then it could be easily traveled with or taken to school and/or work.
How long (roughly) could this fidget keep me busy for?
I feel like this fidget could probably keep me busy for 20 minutes to an hour.
How much I enjoy this fidget overall (zero being I don’t know why I still even have it and ten being I never want to put it down):
9/10
Definitely one of my favorite fidget toys. I think it’s amazing.
